I love Happy Sports collection! Can I ride on your thread and ask a question - are Chopard watches considered decent investments? I am not looking to profit on a Chopard and if i buy i dont want to sell but would like it to at least retain a decent value even if it it is a small loss. I wanted to move on a Happy Sport for a long time but I never managed to find that answer.

Not sure on this, but would love for someone else to weigh in with an answer/opinion, esp since I'm considering a second purchase with the all metal/7 diamond style.

I don't believe Chopard watches hold its value as much as Cartier and Rolex. Happy Diamond watches are fun and collectable pieces but IMO they are not for everyday wear due to its delicate feature. I was very excited to get one several years ago but I just don't get to use it enough and I got tired of the design very quickly. I still think it's gorgeous watch and I'm keeping it since resell value of this watch is quite low... even with diamond bezel.

Mine is WG with 5 floating diamonds

Seven twirling whirling happy diamonds...:)

I too love the chopard happy sport watch. My fave is the stainless steel square face with the 7 floating diamonds on the face with the stainless band in the medium size. I've heard that they dont hold their value too well either. I dont have one but looked at them often. I you like it go for it.

Gorgeous watches ladies!! I am also considering buying one but now I am a little concerned about the reports that are delicate! :nogood: I want one to wear like almost every day and not to be afraid that it will fall off! Any experiences welcome!! (Considering between Cartier Ballon Blue and Chopard Happy or Two Tone Imperiale).

I've never understood the 'delicate' issues with chopard happy sport watches. I've worn mine, off & on for a work watch and have never had a problem. Of course, I don't abuse it and I don't wear it to exercise or play sports etc but I guess I don't understand the concerns. The floating diamonds are separated from the dial with what looks like a thin clear piece of glass or sapphire. Is the concern that this will not stay in place and somehow interfere with the dial? I'm sorry if this sounds silly or uneducated, but since I've had no issue, I'm really confused about what the worries are with these watches. I admit I haven't done any research about problems others have had, so please excuse me if there have been posts that explain specific problems with the Happy Sport watches :)

Thank you for your answer!! It's reassuring, I plan to wear it a lot but not, of course, when handling with 2 small kids and when going to the gym!! I so love Chopard designs, since many years, but never had the opportunity to buy one!! :D
