I'm assuming that you found my posts if you did a search :)
I got my 112 last year. It's a 44mm and I love it. Honestly, it's a bit big, but IMO if you go Panerai, you have to go with the 44mm.

I have since bought a bunch straps: red, green, brown OEM alligator, OEM rubber and a couple of other leather straps - including one that is supposedly made from Louis Vuitton leather.

No one ever comments on it when i wear it, although my BF gets lots of comments when I let him wear it!

-Juilletdx, I am sorry I didn't find your posts - it was another thread? I searched Panerai and didn't come up with much.

I can't believe no one comments when you wear it!

I actually ended up with a 40mm, I just felt most comfortable with that...

I look forward to having fun with different straps:smile1:

The straps are fun! The OEM croc ones from Panerai are really expensive - $275 or so. I bought two and my AD threw in one for free when I bought the watch :)

Definitely check out http://paneristi.com/straps/index.html for great information on the third-party strapmakers out there. Some will cost even more than the original Panerai ones, (e.g., AteliAtelier Du Bracelet Parisien), but you can find some nice things at better prices too.

It takes practice. You have to be careful not to scratch the metal while you're doing it. I take a piece of scotch tape and place that over the screw before I take it out with the screwdriver. This definitely helps, although it is a bit time-consuming - better safe than sorry though, in my book!
