Hi….just wanting some input as to whether or not you have regretted selling a limited or collection piece after the sale?
I have a Neverfull from the Catogram collection that I’ve used once :hrmm: When it came out, I thought I had to have it because of my love for cats, but I just don’t use it. I guess because of the styling of it with various outfits. And, I’m 55 and it seems too “young “ maybe?? Not sure….. But I’m so afraid to let it go also, because I know I will never be able to purchase another at resale prices. So, just wondering if there are items you’ve had, that were hard to obtain, an then later regretted letting go? Or not? I also have the Catogram zip around wallet, so I tell myself maybe just enjoy that one small piece more. My husband says if I don’t use it, it’s just a waste to sit in the closet, but I also don’t want to let it go. Plus, it’s my only “ unique “ LV, along with the wallet, so it is special to me. Thoughts?? Thank you!

I have had many bags I sold and later regretted it. Some I missed it so much that I paid more to repurchase. Even if it just sits in the closet. My policy now is, unless I need the money from it, I do not sell, no matter what they are. But also, I have 2 adult daughters who love my bags, so one day it will be their inheritance.

Based on what initially drew you to the bag, I would advise you to keep it, and to consider it a usable art piece. Find a (safe) place in your home that would benefit from a new or updated canvas, and display it there (and then tell your husband it was an investment in the family art collection:giggle:).

Here are some quickly-sourced examples from Pinterest.

I remember when the catogram collection came out and the frenzy to get items. I had fear of missing out and bought the NF and speedy. I have sold both and don’t regret it…I do have the kirigami pieces , zcp and notebook that I have kept…I did also keep the pochette from the NF but like you found that I wasn’t using either bag, I’m not sure why…

I regret selling my Mono Ellipse PM. It was in perfect condition. I sold it in 2017 and think about it often. Kicking myself, but I will not repurchase another one as the ones I’ve seen on the market are not up to par with the one I originally had.

However, I sold a LV Mono Speedy 30 — also in perfect condition, but no regrets. So, complete opposite feelings.

If you have an ounce of regret just thinking about it, I would advise to hold off and wait. You will know when you know.

I agree about using it and seeing if you like it . I have only ever sold a bag or SLG if I am wanting a new bag and needs some extra funds .This items have to be items I don’t use and there is something else I use instead of it . Then before I sell I try and use it and if I find I reach for something else , I know I am making the right choice .

Don’t just sell it and have no need to actually sell it . I think that’s when you start to regret selling them .

" so it is special to me. "

You said it yourself. It's a keeper :P
I have some L.E bags that I can't even remember carrying  , like my white Multicolor Marilyn Or/gold. I'd never part with it because I'd never be able to find it again in the same condition/price. I'm sure others have items they sell due to financial reasons, but if it's not your situation, you seem to already know you want to keep it. We've all been there .....

Do not sell it if you're having doubts. I'm currently looking for a decent looking watercolor speedy that I sold because I sold mine after a year since i never reached for it. I've also regretting selling my artsy and Manhattan. If you love it, keep it

Funny, I did the same. I sold my Brown Speedy WC 35 and have regretted it since seeing it for $ 4K on a reseller !!!
