I was able to order the grey Willis 18 during the 30% off sale and it arrived yesterday. It's not wowing me. I tried this on when my store had it and really liked it then, but now I'm wondering if it was just the hype and experience of being in the store. I think it's the color and maybe not so much the style. Anyone else experience something like this?

For me it was the style- it was not organized to my liking- the compartments were impractical. I am all in with small bags but I think to be functional, they need to have a single compartment to maximize real estate. I bought the coveted green which I loved but if I was not going to use the bag, what is the point. There were issues with the lining not being dyed consistently so it was an easy decision to return. If the bag does not wow you and you are not going to be happy carrying it- I would have not hesitation returning it. Why not buy something you are thrilled with?

While not the same bag, for me, it was color. I ordered the Duffle 20 during the PCE in Oxblood & Grey. The grey was just meh...even the leather felt different than on the Oxblood which was like butter. I sent it back yesterday.

I feel that way with blue a lot. It has to be the right blue. This grey for me is perfect. It is in 3rd place behind green and sunlight, but will definitely get a lot of use in the fall. If it's not wowing you then it's definitely not a keeper.

It's interesting you say that because I definitely don't consider it as a bag with a lot compartments. I think Tabby, Parker etc. as having useless compartments. This basically has 1 main section with a couple of slip pockets like the pot belly. I think I can fit my things better in these than I can my tabby 26's. I'm probably biased though as I have 6 of these and I definitely reach for them more than any other bag right now.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm going to give it a couple more days. I think I might not be a grey bag girl. I usually tend to choose more vibrant colors or black.

I exchanged my chalk for the sunlight and it arrived today. I am in love. It holds most of my items except for 2 things. I am surprised how light it was despite it being filled with my junk.

I hope the next PCE sale kicks in by early summer, because I am definitely picking up one more of these babies. I love it. The shade of yellow is perfect.

I am not a fan of bags with divisions so I guess that is my bent on this- for me, there was too much going on for such a tiny bag- it felt like a toy bag on me. In contrast, I have the nano speedy which is also tiny but because it has just one compartment, it feels like I can get a lot more in it than the Willis. The 18" Willis is an adorable bag- just not something I would ever reach for.

BTW, I took back the buttercup pot belly as well- I love it but again, it is something I would not reach for and would prefer to put the $ toward something I will use. I do not own Tabby or Parker or Cassie.

I got my sunlight Willis 18 and while I love the color my bag looks like it had really tight stitches. Also the front flap had what looks like a missed line of stitches. IDK why they decided to do an embossed outline of the edges but since it's not a straight line it bothers me enough to return.
