I think they will stand the test of time. Lots of older women in particular love Pandora. Its also the sort of thing I would drool over as a teen so I think it appeals to all ages. Of course, I am biased, since I love Pandora, although I do admit, I find the gold verson a bit too blingy and chavvy-looking. But only time will tell if the "fad" will last ... :p

But then the same could be said about the Cartier Love bracelet - that is faddish to me. Although what a clever trick Cartier have pulled - inventing a bracelet that screws permanently to your wrist! That will make sure their product is worn continually for, like, ever ... :D

Hey! the Cartier LOVE bracelet actually has stood the test of time; it has been on the market since the 70s. (A lifetime for some of us)

As for inventing a bracelet that screws closed being a good business decision, I sometimes doubt that. Now that I have a LOVE bracelet, I don't want to wear anything with it that'll scratch it... so Cartier has lost out on selling me that diamond tennis bracelet I dream of! And DH got off easy too, as he only had to buy ONE bracelet to last my lifetime. ;)

I love bracelets, earrings, pendants/necklaces, watches, & rings! I prefer certain styles of each more than others, but that's the beauty of variety...we can wear what we love, & leave the rest to others!

Ironically enough, aside from my wedding ring set, my jewellery together w/ my lipstick is the first thing to come off once I get home. I just like the feeling of bareness and minimalism......odd, since I love jewellery.

Body piercing is an item I have no interest in.

Oh....and diamond-encrusted or gold teeth. Won't be calling my Dentist to re-work my smile anytime soon!
LOL!!! Good one!
Put gold/diamond encrusted teeth on my list, too!

I can't wear toe rings creeps me out...I also don't really like anklets...I'm not really much of a watch person either but I just bought a bulova one that I love and can't wait till it gets warmer out so I can wear it without a million layers of clothing!

Also to go with what everyone is saying about pandora...I used to think it was highschoolish and not for me until I went to the Elle Canada fashion show last April in Toronto. Pandora jewelery was being worn by all of the models in all of the designers clothing collections and they were mixing the bracelets with the other lines like the rings and earrings/necklaces and I totally fell in love! It was neat to see them dress up business looking outfits with pandora as well as more casual outfits. I have been hooked since!

What a funny and interesting thread! When my husband and I were dating, he used to get me jewelry that was somehow always heart themed. I didn't have the "heart" to tell him that I could not stand hearts. (pun intended).

It's funny how my preferences have changed over the years. I used to hate wearing watches. Then my husband got me a Rolex that I love and now I wear it everyday. I used to also dislike yellow gold, but now suddenly I think it complements my warm skin tone so much better! LOL!

Well, I should preface this with never say never...BUT at this point in my life, I have no interest in anklets, toe rings, body jewelry (belly ring, nose ring, or where-ever people tend to pierce), any costume jewelry in general, and bracelets.

Meanwhile, I cannot live without my diamond stud earrings, engagement/wedding rings, simple necklaces/pendants, and watch. I don't have a lot of jewelry but it has to be gold--DH says it's because I am Asian! LOL--sorry hope I didn't offend anyone!

I have no interest in wearing chokers or short necklaces, although I wore a pearl choker to work almost every day in my 20s and have a box of real and faux.

It feels so constricting after a while if my necklaces are thicker than 2-3mm. I even had a couple of chains lengthened so I don't get that sensation in case I ever need to wear it at some event.

Pandora bracelets. I just don't get the hype. I've gone to various jewelry stores to check them out, and I found the charms made the bracelet look cluttered and unorganized.
