I'm afraid I may not like the fringes, either, and it'll be another return. They know me at UPS now. I have a Dakotah with fringes that don't bother me, though. I actually think it's cute on my Dakotah. The JAX rep didn't have any information on the one you prefer, which I love as well. I went back to the posting for the other one and the picture says pre-fall so it may not be released until later in the summer. I hope I'm wrong and it's released on Feb 9. I'm not cutting my tags until then. I admire patient people. I'm working on that skill...slowly.And this one is $695?
I like the whiplash around the edge of the flap, but I'm not fond of all those dangling strings so I think I'm going to wait and see if there's one without the whiplashing.

Oxblood or mineral sound good. Think I'll wait to see what you think although I don't mind the fringes that much.
Okay, I'll definitely let you know. I'm in Florida, so it will arrive quickly. If they mail out on Monday. I'll have it Tuesday. I don't think the fringes will bother me, especially not in the oxblood color. I think it may add a nice touch to that color.
I ordered Oxblood on Saturday, and I checked my order status on Coach.com and it's on backorder and won't ship until Feb 8. I believe the available colors for the Whiplash saddle bag are oxblood, black, mineral, chalk, and camel.

It now says on backorder will ship Feb. 15th. I wish I lived near a Coach store because I want to see this style in person. I'm wondering if it's going to be too small, especially for the price. I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Whiplash Saddle bag in Oxblood, but now I'm afraid it may be too small for me. I called JAX today to see if they had the details listed, and they did. The rep said the dimensions are 10 3/4 x 9 3/4 x 3 1/2. She said the Oxblood color doesn't release until Feb 15, but black is available now. She also said that the exterior is Samba Leather and the interior flap is suede but a portion of the interior is linen. There's also a special Coach tag that comes with all of the 75th anniversary bags. I asked if there will be a larger version available, and she said that she only has information regarding a smaller one. I really want a purse in Oxblood, but based on the description I'm not sure I want to spend $695 for it, and I'd hate for them to ship it just for me to return it, but, at the same time maybe when I see it in person the size will work. Maybe there will be some reveals of the black, which is available now, that will make me fall in love with the purse and feel it's worth the price tag.
My SA sent me the same information. I told him I'd be interested in a whiplash saddle in the larger size, but he didn't know anything either. The above size seems to be about the size of a Dakotah, and as much as I love them, I carry larger bags for everyday. Sigh. Not worth $695 for me.
