Any different ways to wear a TWILLY

I wear mine in my hair when I have a pony tail but I secure it with an elastic band or it slips right off. I can't quite get it round my fat neck twice and have enough to tie neatly. One of the more inventive ways I have worn it, is as a necklace - it looks good (imho!) with a large silver chain d'ancre hanging off it, I used to use my scarve ring but it had to go back faulty and they couldn't replace it. I now use an enormous chain d'ancre silver piece suspended off the twilly, around my neck. It is in fact the Hermes silver napkin (serviette) ring but it works great as an enormous pendant, I get many compliments when I wear it.

My daughter has a couple of twillies, she looks cute with them around her head and secured with a Tribord ring:

princessfrog Like I said before in the H in action thread, I love how you tie your twillies and thank you for taking close up pics bc I think they look soo cute!!! It's sooo simple too, which I like!!

allaboutnice Love your ideas!! I am going to try them myself but I was wondering if you can take some pics on how u have worn the twillies as a necklace. TIA! IT sounds sooo unique and different, but I couldn't visualize it in my head. Your DH looks soo cute w/ her twillies. You are already training her well!!!

moviregirl and japster, thank you for your lovely comments.

Moviegirl, I took a couple of pics to give you an idea, the twillies need to be 'tweaked' a bit more to look their best:

The chain d'ancre is a heavy piece, you can't run without the risk of injury to your sternum or jaw!

I have a nice loop of leather from another Hermes item which I often use instead of the twilly.

allaboutnice: Wow!!! That is sooo unique!!! Thank you sooo much!!! I would've never been able to imagine it in my head!!!! Thanks for taking the time to take pics!!! I LOVE YOUR TWILLY's!!!!

Allaboutnice, I tried that with the Hermes cadena also. It is a very cute way to wear them and at least that way you can wear them around your neck without adding an extra loop. I found the heart cadena works the best since it is flat.

allaboutnice, thanks for the great pictures. The scarf ring/twilly headband is so cute. We will definitely give that one a try. Was there anything good left at the Paris sale?

Thank you everyone for all your lovely comments.

Mizzle - I had a great time at the sales, thanks. I came away with a wide enamel bangle, hippo cadena charm, wedge sandals, picolo pencil case, and a small agenda (no zip) with loops for a pen. A great haul, all less than half price. I will post some pictures at some point. The agenda required a trip to the main shop for a diary refill/address book plus an adorable silver pen. The cost of the pen and re-fill at full price was dearer than the agenda I think! I decided against the chain for the pen as the 3 loops of the agenda keep it all firmly in place. For the occassion, I wore my new Kelly (you should have seen all the eyes on it in the main branch of Hermes) so the next shop we visited was the Longchamp to buy a pliage for my Kelly, it was very useful on the metro and plane.

Gracekelly - that was a great tip about the cadena, I can now try my new hippo on a twilly, I see what you mean about the flat heart - they had thiose too at the sale, but my heart went out to the hippo.
