I would love to see your diamond's facet pattern and its glorious kozibe effect (I can see a bit in one of your side-on pictures). It's nice to know a bit of history about the ring and the diamond. I personally feel it's a great colour and clarity for a diamond from that era!

Please let us see some handshots when you can. Share the bling happiness! :D

If the ring looks this good already, I'm sure it'll be even more amazing after a cleanup. Will definitely check back for your 'after' pictures.
Further to my earlier reply, I found a face on from the dealers website.

Lovely handshot and thanks for the face-on photo. :smile1:
Loosely defined - the kozibe effect is the effect of the diamond's culet being reflected internally by it's facets. (Diamond experts please correct me if I'm wrong here....). I personally think it's cool - but it's not everyone's cup of tea. :p

This is one gorgeous diamond! :faint: I'm a huge fan of antique diamonds. I'm lucky enough to have one that's about 1 carat set in a gorgeous antique setting from around the 1920's.

My Sister got my Grandmother's so I wanted one too and the day finally came. I wear it with all of my white gold watches.

If my memory serves me they can be called Rose cut or old miners cut. I love the way they stand so tall and beautiful, instead of flat the way they cut them now.

You've found a very special ring here. Big congrats!
