I've seen Antigonas on sale for £650 (around $800) from time to time, usually in seasonal colours. Just keep your eye out for sales

I got my Antigona (Small, Oil Slick), on sale for $1200 - down from $2450, on sale in December. You can find some new, genuine ones at great prices.

I always forget that prices in the US are a lot higher here in the UK the Antigona is £1500 (about $1800 in USD) full price.

As far as an alternative to the Antigona goes - Aspinal of London have some gorgeous bags. Check out the Midi London tote or the Midi Marylebone. They're a really underrated, but luxurious brand and they're sold in high-end department stores over here.

They come in a few colours! Their leather is amazing.

Aspinal of London have some really nice styles to choose from! They may not be up there with Saint Laurent in terms of how the brand is viewed and the brand history, but I think their prices reflect that.

I used to have a bag by Aspinal a few years ago, can't remember what the style was called, but it was a beautifully crafted bag, attention to detail was top notch.
