I agree that coach has not done a great job of informing customers of the new policy, especially if you haven't been to a store lately. I would have had no idea if I wasn't on this forum. Maybe a mass email to everyone notifying them would have been helpful but we all know how crazy coach's email database is!Thank you so much for reporting that manager. I actually made a return for an online item I purchase this summer and was told about the new policy.
I actually went to the same outlet store and was able to make a return 2 days before you. I don't know what happened between those two days.
But this was the first time I heard about the new policy and was immediately rubbed the wrong way because I was told during the summer that I could make a return of outlet items at the outlet at anytime. (I had wanted to make the return at the full price store for merchandise card but they said they couldn't do it, pshhh what ever.)
I need to gather the items I purchased as gifts that didn't work out and return them as soon as possible. I will definitely avoid the Locust Grove location though.
I am sorry you went through that but I am thankful you reported the manager and gave us all a heads up!
Yeah, Dawsonville always has their stuff together. How I miss that place!Phew. I went to the outlets in Dawsonville and my returns were done without a hitch. I had three separate online orders. The SA did it swiftly and without "comments". Though, he probably assumed I knew about the new return policy because I was there to make so many at one time(you know to make the grace period).
What a relief though. I was worried they would give me grief.
It has been pretty normal in my experience, at least in the outlets. I can always get a hangtag there. I've seen people get straps as well. One time I bought a bag and when I got home I realized the hangtag was missing. They sent it to me through UPS since I didn't want to drive back.^ Although there is no exception for them being rude, the stores dont just carry replacement parts for old bags. My store actually does carry random hangtags, straps, tassels, form damaged bags, but that is not normal, and I have never come across that at any other store.

I have a FOS item that I bought month ago that I need to return. I only have today or does it go through January? THANKS!
Unless you purchased during the "holiday" period beginning 10/27, then you have until 1/18. Check the bottom of your receipt. If you purchased during that time, it will say it on your receipt...it's the 2nd paragraph above the bar code. For items bought after the new policy you have 60 days to return. For items bought before the new policy you have until January 18th or January 30th to return (date changes depending on who you talk to at Coach).
Since you bought this after the new policy, you would have 60 days to return.
HTH!
