I've just tried them with standard basic black leggings. And this is where I must now confess, I've only worn them in my house so far.

This year I'm making myself wear them outside. They're too pretty to keep hidden, but I just can't seem to do it! :shame:

I'm currently looking for more substantial leggings myself! :search: I like the "skinny stretch five-pocket pants" at the Gap, but I've tried them on and the waist (or hip) area looks awkward on me. They have a nice structure otherwise. They may work for you, though, so maybe give them a try.

Thanks for the tip. will definitely visit Gap ;)

Congrats Brooklynite, on your gorgeous boots! I bought them myself last year and tried them on with jeggings as well, which was okay, but I eventually prefer them with regular skinny jeans; more support and better shaped. For instance ' J Brand' has great skinny jeans, not too thick so very easy to tuck in, and actually DOES make your legs look skinny (not that you really need it!). Don't know if this brand is available in the US though.

Congrats on your new boots !
I have them in Brown and also Black, and I wore them almost everyday last winter.
For me they work the best with short silk dresses (large/without structure) and opaque tights.
The A&F jeggings are great with them too : at least the cut is good on me, and I don't have the "oops I forgot something" look ;).

thank you for the suggestions Fromparis! :smile1:
Thank you Balenciagaboy.

Oh wow!!! I love these. Congrats!!

If you don't mind me asking, what price are these boots? I wonder do they go up to a size 43? Usually designers just go up to a 42 (some a 43), I'm a 42.5 so it's really annoying for me to get nice shoes! (Unless they are open-toe, then I'm grand but closed they are always a bit squishy on my toes!)

Avril
I think that they fit larger, I went down a size and most tpf's say they went down half a size.

those were $2,050(?)...slightly above 2k. Not sure if they have 43 though...I saw 42 at heathrow airport in June so they certainly have 42....sorry I'm not very helpful.

Hey! I'm only seeing these replies now - dunno how I missed this! Brooklynite - to say you've seen a 42 is great news! Sometimes they just do them up to a 41 which is heartbreaking! So maybe they might do them in a 43.

esmeh - although if you are saying that they are quite large, and need to go down a half a size, then maybe the 42 would fit. I'll ask my SA about these and see if they are available!

Brooklynite - so how are you finding your wonderful new boots? :yahoo:
