Thank you for the tip. I might try this when I go home. I brought it into my local store this morning and they were less than helpful. My local store is Dublin which is inside a department store and it's the only store in Ireland.
She told me there was nothing they could do about the zipper and if I wanted to return the bag they would need permission from the department store manager as they have to operate according to their rules since they are inside it. I really don't think that's true as the CA in Paris told me any Louis Vuitton would be able to help me with any issues including those inside department stores. The store in Dublin doesn't really have a great reputation which is why I have always purchased in Paris. Hopefully the wax paper helps!

The trick I use, which I learned here on tPF, is to run some wax paper over it, then open and close the zipper a few times to distribute the wax in the teeth. It’s easier to use than a crayon and colorless; it won’t leave any residue, either. That has worked like a charm in the past for me! As bags age, I’ve found zippers also sometimes get a bit tough, likely from lots (and lots!) of use, and this same strategy has brought those zippers back to life

Oh, no, that is so frustrating! I can’t speak to rules in Europe, but the department store locations here in the U.S. definitely have some different rules than the standalone boutiques. I’ve had success getting a Zippy wallet reglazed via a department store location when it started peeling in less than two years, but have been told that returns in those locations are tricky. If you bought there, then it’s easier; however, if you bought at a boutique and tried to return to a department store location, then it was store credit only. Seems so odd…

Fingers crossed the wax paper trick helps with your zipper!

Some more April goodies :smile: Yesterday I picked up my cotteville, my Tresor24, the wallet for my sister, Fleur du desert, nuit de feu and little necklace for my GF :love:

My SA kinda surprised me with the Tresor, since it should have been delivered end of June! That is also the one, that will get the beautiful painting on top. The artisan was unavailable lately, but it back next week! So we will arrange a meeting with her and talk about my idea :love:

In the meantime my 2. malle fleur was also delivered but had a LOT OF DEFECTS… not sure how they could sent such a miserable piece… my SA felt embarrassed and didn’t even wanted to show me any pictures. So we ordered a 3rd one. Should arrive next week with some luck. Let’s see how this goes :biggrin:
Oh there will be so many more things next week :biggrin:

I’ve started to use the DZP yesterday and OMG - I love this bag so much! She’s so easy to use, comfy and absolutely carefree. Used her yesterday in the heavy rain - and she looks brand new! :loveeyes: And she goes with my style and the colors that I typically wear very well:love:

I almost @‘d you yesterday, for about 1 minute on 24s there was a DZP in DE, though it was the one with the big LV on at least one side. Before I could even check the other side it disappeared. I think it was listed at $1030 US! Clearly it went fast.

Congratulations @Emphosix on your beautiful purchases especially the tresor 24:loveeyes:. May I ask what country you live in, because I have to wait a year to get my trunks painted lol. Both of mine were purchased during Covid and when I was in the boutique in January the artist was actually in store. That's when I put in my name and was told it will be a year:shocked:
