i have an amanda that i have often debated returning...for some reason i've always decided to hold on to it and i am glad that i have. i love the bag and think it's something worth purchasing

Thanks for sharing your experience, @MJDaisy. May I ask how the seams are holding up so far? Do the edging "turn up" as @pixiejenna described in her review? I'm actually torn between getting black or orange. The SA says they always have black, so I can get that seasons later. As for the orange, it's a seasonal color.

Hi Ladies!
I brought my beautiful navy Amanda hobo to use for the first time yesterday...and I have to admit, even though it's gorgeous, the weight bothers me.

It's HEAVY!!

I work it crossbody and the strap was making my shoulder hurt! And all I had in it was my wallet, my cell phone, and a small pack of Wet Ones!!

Anyone else find theirs a bit too heavy?

Ok so here are my two cents. I knew going into buying this bag that there had been some past "issues" with this bag but I went ahead and bought it anywhere. I can say the extended strap is way too small and weak to be comfortable or sturdy under the weight of this bag imo. Also it loses it's shape almost immediately and starts to sag all over in different places ( plus it's heavy as crap). But tbh I was able to move past this because I still did believe it was a cute bag.

Until..... after less than six months of owning it the little rivet looking thing that holds the front flap connected to the bag competely broke and was left flapping all wonky like. I wish I had taken pictures to show you but as soon as I noticed it yesterday I hightailed it Nordstroms and got my money back! Thank goodness for their awesome customer service. In essence I would not recommend this bag. I did however take a chance with Tory and get another bag (Maisey tote/messenger) and am hoping I won't run into anymore problems. I basically told the manager that I would raise all kinds of stink if something happened with this one. It's really sad that a bag of this price didn't hold up so well. But I'll let you all know if I end up having any problems with the Maisey.
