Am I lucky or impulsive?

My PA arrived yesterday. I decided to return it. It was never a HG for me, probably more of a FOMO/impulse purchase. It's a good thing online purchases don't come with special packaging, if it came with lunar new year packaging, I might have kept it for the packaging alone. :P
I’m still waiting for mine to come anxiously. Yes, FOMO is the phrase for my purchase as well. I hope you at least took some shots with it as a parting gift before returning. :P

It came and it’s so beautiful!!! I’m not quite willing to part with it now!
I haven’t had quite a lot of time with it because I’m on my way out for some visiting.
Some points to note for me:

1) It could fit all my basic essentials but with no room to spare.

2) It’s way more compact than my pillow MPA (yes the dimensions are reflected too). Visually it’s so much less bulk than the pillow MPA.0122C678-DBBE-43A6-87D3-2908D0343757.jpegBF983DA1-0078-47A7-9E74-F38835778889.jpegE7E10DC6-14FE-4B94-8F38-57F84A327C65.jpegF2A81266-7152-4306-9A2A-DC6F5CB2F5EF.jpeg0DC058B1-B11F-46BA-B72A-30AB3235A13D.jpeg

I’m rather torn now.

Visually, mono is aesthetically more pleasing because it’s more compact than my pillow MPA. Looks way more stylish rather than ‘mum-in-a-rush-pillow-MMPA’.

Also the same fact is, I’m able to fit more in my pillow than mono, which I like. (Which explains why pillow gives a ‘mum-in-a-rush’ look in my case)

Is there a place for two similar bags in my wardrobe? Do owners of multiple of the same bag, say speedy 25/30, and have use/ a place for almost the same thing?

I recently detoxed my bags and sold off many which I no longer use or don’t love anymore. The bags I have left are the ones which I love the most or has a niche function (2 “big”, 2 “medium” and 2 “small” category).

The two “small category bags” 1) pillow MPA and 2) neo Alma BB. In each category I have one “casual” and one more “polished” bag.

1) Should I sell off my pillow MPA to fit the mono? I like the pillow’s black strap with no vachetta.

2) Keep both MPA? (And swear off buying new bags for the year? Like I can keep that promise?!)

I say if you see yourself using both MPA and can afford to have it both in your collection then keep it. For me i have the nano speedy old model but still purchase the keepall xs in wc. For me they are both small bags and almost similar even capacity wise but i see myself using both so i went for it. Only the difference i see is the nano speey is canvas and keepall xs is leather. So if i want to go for a carefree small bag that day i will take my keepall. I also have the PA NM in mono and azur but use both as well

@Jumper I also did impulse buy of multi pochette accessories in khaki. It came today with overnight shipping. Do you have made in stamp in your pochettes. I don't see any stamp on mine.
Do you still like it. I just saw it in stock and click Add to bag as fast as I can.

Yes. Mine is MIF. The big pochette has the tag at the back pocket. The smaller pochette has it on the right side.

I’m in the exact scenario as you. Saw, clicked, bought. It’s beautiful and strap is very useful.

@Jumper I love the pics of your rose Clair MP. I think if you have a purpose and use for both (and money is not an issue) then I would say keep both. There is definitely nothing wrong with having multiples in different colours or textures. Many of us have it here, eg speedies, keepall xs, NF, alma bb, mini pochette etc… from the sounds of it you do have a separate function for both so it’s not an issue. Probably give it some time to think abt it and make a decision. That way its not a hasty one and you will regret. Good luck

I’m also waiting for to see the next PI to see if there’s any difference. Making myself feel “better” that I bought it at a “slightly cheaper” price (though it has gone up a ridiculous amount actually).

Sorry to bum this thread again… I have another dilemma now!! Need some fresh insights to consider:

So to update - Bought a Rose Clair MPA recently. Love the versatile and beautiful strap (sweet and stylish look of the entire bag too). It fits everything I want snuggly (very tight fit, but not to the point where the pochette sticks out).
After the PI, I lucked out and manage to get a confirm waitlist order of Diane (which I initially was eyeing and stalking before I managed to get the MPA). The cool part was they are offering the Diane at the old price for me instead of the new PI. I jumped on it! Diane is definitely a better fit for my lifestyle because it’s slightly bigger in size than MPA and I really see myself using it more often than the MPA. I haven’t even get the Diane and I’m already feeling excited about it.

I’m wondering should I still keep the MPA? (I love the strap but for $3k plus, it’s a very expensive strap)
I’m thinking it’s most likely I’ll keep the Diane. I have yet to use the MPA, because it’s still within the 30 days grace and I’m not 100% sure I love it yet though it’s beautiful.

How I would like to be help:
Comments about MPA and Diane usage, good and negative points would be helpful.
To be honest, my heart sang when I saw the Diane email! MPA, I felt was more of a FOMO and was swayed by that pink-gold strap.

Regardless of whether or not the Diane works out for you, it sounds like you’re not particularly in love with the MPA, so if you can still return, I would. It’s too expensive of a bag to feel so lukewarm over it.
