Alternative to the Classic Flap - Reissue, Diana or Affinity

Hi - I've been wanting the classic flap in caviar w/ gold, but the only problem is that you can't really wear this crossbody. I'm 5'8 for reference. I already have the mini and WOC, but looking for something bigger that I could wear daily. I love a crossbody.

What would you recommend? Reissue (226, I think), Vintage Diana or Business Affinity (Medium) OR Should I just get the classic flap in medium as that's what I've been wanting for a while? Another top contender is the Trendy, but worry about the lambskin for daily use.

i had the same issue, i'm 5'10 and now i live a very very happy life with my 226 reissue.

Great choice. Reissue 227 was my first bag, and it's probably my favorite in my collection. Can't recommend this style enough.

Sorry! Also, is the 227 much bigger? Just curious as there’s some really good prices on the pre-loved market for this size vs 226.

I have both the 226 and 227. In terms of size, the 226 is between a m/l and a jumbo, 227 is the closest to a jumbo (a little taller and thinner, but similar capacity). The 227 is sleeker than a jumbo, but I still find it a little awkward to wear cross-body vs. the 226. You’re taller than me so it may work better on you. I love both sizes but tend to wear the 227 more as an everyday bag because it fits so much.

If you can, try them both on – or, if you decide to go for the 227, just make sure it can be returned if you find it’s too big or doesn’t work for you.

Thoughts on this one? Does $5250 seem fair? It’s a full set from 2011. I think it looks in great condition, but would love feedback.

I'm finally in the market for my first Chanel and I was convinced the CF medium, caviar, GHW was a no-brainer but after watching all the youtube videos (even the one in languages I don't speak!) and really sitting down to think about my lifestyle needs, it's reissue all the way!

Great choice! I had the same doubt that you have and I am also 5.8 (1.74cm) and I have gone with the reissue and have not regretted it one minute. I bought it new as it was my first Chanel and got it as a gift from my husband. but preloved you will find some great ones as well.
