Hi - I've been wanting the classic flap in caviar w/ gold, but the only problem is that you can't really wear this crossbody. I'm 5'8 for reference. I already have the mini and WOC, but looking for something bigger that I could wear daily. I love a crossbody.

What would you recommend? Reissue (226, I think), Vintage Diana or Business Affinity (Medium) OR Should I just get the classic flap in medium as that's what I've been wanting for a while? Another top contender is the Trendy, but worry about the lambskin for daily use.

You can get the medium and then ask leather surgeons to lengthen it. If that's not an option you want then I would say Reissue 226. The Diana small is a good cross-body bag but it's a lot smaller than the medium flap. I have the medium Diana and it works cross-body on me but I'm shorter than you (5'6.5).

I’m 5’7 and have the classic flap and Diana. Diana is definitely easier to use given that it is single flap and is much lighter.

however, I love how the ways you can wear the classic flap. My first Chanel was a Chanel caviar medium/large in ghw. It makes a cute short crossbody.

Hi, for daily wear, hands down a reissue 226. I have the 226 with ruthenium hardware and wear that as an everyday.

I do feel that if you've been wanting a classic flap as well, add one, but for everyday wear, 226 hands down!

If you don't have a black flap with gold hardware already in your collection, then go for the 226 with gold hardware. I only went with the ruthenium because I already have the black m/l classic with gold hardware.

I did have the 226 with gold hardware, but sold her to get the classic, thinking that's the bag I *should* have. But missed the reisssue so much, I went out and got the 226 in ruthenium.

Always go with your gut and what makes your heart sing!! Sounds like 226 gold hardware is what works for you.

And I think it's great for everyday. I would definitely wear a black reissue with gold hardware over a classic flap with gold hardware as an everyday bag.

I'm not sure about the size of 227, I only have looked at mini, 225 and 226. Chose the 226 because it fits just as much as a jumbo, which is the perfect capacity for my needs. I am pretty petite as well and 226 is a great size. I have a jumbo too, and love her!

Anyhow, I see you are taller, I think the 227 may work well for you as well as the 226.

I love both the reissue and the medium CF. Can’t go wrong with either one! Reissue is much more low key and the black with ghw is a striking combo. Plus I just love the reissue chain! I have a few of each in different sizes and the 226 reissue is a great size. Please post pics of whatever you decide to purchase!
