I don't have any advice, grungy is not my vibe; I'm not that fashionable, lol. I suggest you watch some YouTube videos and gather info. There are just so many bags out there. Good luck and congrats on your future bag!:smile:

Hermes Birkin 35, 30 cm or Garden Party 36 or 30 cm or Hermes Hac 32 cm. Hermes Kelly 32, 35 cm, is an excellent choice as well. If you are a crossbody bag person Hermes Halzan 31cm. All go well with your description, and they would be my choice. I am almost 60 and find these bags understated and elegant, and they will be a classic for years to come.

ditto on the birkins, @Gyopomom —look up model Jane Birkin for whom the bag was named...her style sounds a possible fit for your downplaying days while the bag dresses up nicely when asked.

You're welcome. Here are my reasons for the suggestions:

Balenciaga City is a classic design. There is a review on PurseBlog. Easy to dress up or down, and I'd say a grunge vibe. Recognizable. Any of the Balenciaga bags might work for you.

The Row Double Circle hobo bag has soft, smooshy leather. Really easy to dress up or down. Great workmanship.

Fount uses full grain leather. Very high quality and seems indestructible - especially with the solid brass hardware. A few designs and a few nice colors to choose from. Great workmanship.

Mansur Gavriel. Their Bucket Bag is iconic. The leather is good. The Cloud Clutch is very much with the current trend of soft leather clutches. Good colors, and other designs to look at that you might like. Easy to dress up or down.

Massaccesi has some great leather options, and styles that could be dressed up or down.

Coach and Michael Kors have lots of different styles, some that may have a grunge vibe. Well known and recognizable. Cheaper pricing than Balenciaga or The Row.
