It’s been my everyday bag since I got it! And that’s saying a lot because I picked up a medium lady Dior at the same time, but I like the BV more as the everyday bag.

Couple of things I’ve enjoyed about the bag:
1. I live in an area where you do see a lot of luxury bags, and never have i seen anyone else carry this bag before. I enjoy being the only one carrying this bag and never having to experience an awkward moment of standing next to someone carrying the same bag as I am.
2. No one knows it’s a BV. Even before the “quiet luxury” fad, I’ve always enjoyed using subtle bags without the logos as my everyday bag, so this one is definitely a preference.
3. Ive thoroughly enjoyed the versatility of the bag. When I first purchased the bag, I thought for sure I would be using this as a crossbody, but to my surprise, wearing it on my shoulders is much more convenient and allows me to get in and out of my bag so much easier. And when I’m in a rush I end up grabbing the bag by top handle and straps and it reminds me of the “cool girl chic” vibe if you know what I mean. So because you can wear it in my different ways, it’s easy to dress up or down the bag.
4. The small fits a lot more than I anticipated; probably because the bottom tapers out.

And now for the not so good parts of the bag because there is no such thing as a perfect bag.
1. Wear and tear - honestly I’m still not sure I would say the wear and tear is horrible, or if it’s reasonable so I’ll provide photos of my current wear and tear that I’ve noticed.

Totally agree with all of this!! I just took mine on a work trip and started using the doubled up straps shoulder carry method and omg so much more comfortable. I love this bag! Also totally agree about the understated luxury of it and that you don’t see anyone else with it, which I also love. I definitely have no noticeable wear and tear on mine but I haven’t been using it every day - maybe 5 or 6 times total since I picked it up a month ago.

Thank you so much for your response! It is much appreciated. I will be near a BV boutique next week while on vacation and plan to check this one out.

I absolutely love the look of the bag and was was looking at a Med Inkwell.

Usually I don't like hw on BV, but this (and the Sardine) bag is just perfect. I love the bag a lot but the Med is not really big enough for work and the large is ridiculously expensive. I don't really like that it's not lined, and I am worried about all the friction, I also I found the strap (at least single) not so comfortable - and that was at min weight so in the end I din't get one. The stuff I carry for all-day jaunts or for work would kill that beautiful bag and my shoulder.

It did make me did out good ol' Roma so there's that.

I still think Andiamo is a fine looking bag though  , every time I see a picture my heart skips, just not the heavy duty practical worker bag. I'm just going to have to look old fashioned.

Totally agree on the work bag front! I’ve tried to use my medium a few times, and it’s too annoying - because of the strap placement I would have to wrestle my 12 inch laptop in and out of it each time, it’s way too much of a pain. Luckily I wanted mine as a throw everything in on the weekends bag, but would have loved if it could have doubled as a back up work tote too. Sadly no, so totally agree if that’s what you’re looking for this bag probably isn’t it!

I am strongly considering the small in Taupe. Here are my concerns: what color shoes to wear with it and when it wears over time how do you mask the loss of color on a leather that isn't easily repaired like black or a typical brown? I imagine the strap and corners will wear over time and it isn't like I could pick up a taupe leather polish or conditioner to touch up those areas. But, the black seems less special to me somehow. I don't have a massive budget for bags, so this is going to be it for me for quite awhile. I saw it in white and pink (special for the Barbie movie)in Paris and fell in love with all but the color.

Thanks for any insight.

I’m surprised and disappointed yours showed wear on the corners so quickly! Has it gotten worse?

ETA: just saw your pic of the wear on the strap too. That’s super disappointing. You’d think a bag that expensive would hold up better

Hi! Any wear and tear updates?
Mine is wearing nicely! I’ve been using it pretty much every weekend, and while I try to generally be careful with my bags I don’t absolutely baby them either, so this one has gotten tossed around a little bit. So I’m not surprised to see one area of wear is some rubbing at the bottom corners (this bag should have feet imo!) but other then that I’m not noticing any wear on the straps and anytime I notice a scuff or mark on the leather of the body of the bag I’m able to rub it right out. Still loving this bag!
