alhambra bracelet watch vs rolex watch?

Hello,

I am about to buy a watch for my wife and can pay max 17k $. I thought of 3 options:

1. VCA onyx alhambra bracelet watch: 16.5k $

2. Rolex watch in YG (15 - 17k $)

3. Alhambra onyx bracelet + rolex watch (total 15-17k $)

She already have MOP alhambra bracelet and yg bracelet.

Differing opinion here. The SA at the VC&A store was wearing the Alhambra watch and it was so striking and different that I couldn't stop looking at it. It is such a feminine and lovely watch, and your wife would be wearing a watch that she would probably never see on anyone else. That would definitely be my recommendation since you know she already loves VC&A.

What's her style like? Dressy or more casual? If more casual I think rolex. Otherwise the VCA is really beautiful but she has 2 bracelets.

The VCA watch is lovely, but difficult to read and not exactly an everyday watch. I'm not a fan of Rolex...so if she needs a dressy watch I guess I'd go with that watch.

How about something in between the sporty look of the Rolex and the dressy look of the VCA?

Every one is voting for Rolex and I was about to seal the deal. Fortunately I found out by indirect way that she doesn't like Rolex a lot and prefers Cartier BB and even liked the vintage Alhambra watch w/diamonds face when we were passing by VCA to pick our bracelet.

(christofle) did not know about that watch before and after some reading its a winner if it came in YG.(most of my wife jewelry is YG, even the engagement ring)

So do you guys vote for a Cartier full YG, tank YG/diamond face or YG vintage Alhambra diamond bezel watch.
