Hello,

I am about to buy a watch for my wife and can pay max 17k $. I thought of 3 options:

1. VCA onyx alhambra bracelet watch: 16.5k $

2. Rolex watch in YG (15 - 17k $)

3. Alhambra onyx bracelet + rolex watch (total 15-17k $)

She already have MOP alhambra bracelet and yg bracelet.

Wow you are really one good husband! These are three amazing options and I´m sure she will be happy to get either of them, but if you want to buy her a watch then present her with a Rolex! So I´m all for option two or three. You know her best - so you will know if she likes weather a gold AND sparkly very expensive watch or wants to have more than one present ;)
I would want one REALLY nice Rolex.

+1 for rolex. I've come to realize that for something like a watch, one should stick to brands that focus on that...and....well...we all know rolex has amazing watches that withstand the test of time. I am sure she will love it. Such a nice present!

When I was looking at Rolex watches the yellow gold new was $34,000 maybe that one had diamonds on it . But that's new. But the daytona rolex two tone was new at about $16,000.

Depends on what watches she already has - if she already has a daytime watch from a watchmaking company that she is happy with the the VCA watch is really beautiful for evening. I wasn't expecting to like it at all but I love it!

Does she have a nice watch now? If not I would get the nicest Rolex you can afford. If she already has VCA she probably doesn't need another and I would prefer the money to be spent on a better watch

So rolex wins vs the alhambra.

Though i want to add 1 more option ( saw some beautiful watches at cartier, so did not make the rolex purchase)

15-17k$ Rolex vs 15-17k$ Cartier tank or balloon bleu?

Even though the rolex has more goldweight/diamonds the cartier especially balloon bleu looks really beautiful. Could the cartier be a good purchase even with out diamonds and for the same price of a rolex?
