I don't get the massive backlash I've seen elsewhere that is going on because he's walking her freaking dog. Is it a secret they are in some kind of relationship, PR or otherwise? To me it actually looked like he was picking it up from somewhere.
This was always going to happen. They have a cluster of events for their various projects, and it was always going to be like this as TB and SD approach, and he starts to get more exposure. As a real couple or no, they'd be mad not to use it.
As for the dog, its one of the least offensive pap shots I've ever seen. Sure, its sends a message but at this point it should come as no surprise. Haven't we all developed immunity to this?
Its only a photo and may have nothing or everything to do with the way they do or do not relate to each other in private. JJ is going nuts, and really some of the posters need to take a sip of concrete and harden the f**k up. This is not new. Nor is it worthy of the frenzy.
If anything to me it looks like they have settled into a pattern. Whether they break up in the future, to me, looks like a moot point. They seem to be together now, in whatever capacity that is.

Hey Sydney....oh boy is Rod Lurie doing his own PR for the movie?. Because that tweet is a total cheesefest... I'd like to see the SD marketing pickup again because it just died off very suddenly, but this comment....someone get this director a scriptwriter for his twitter account please.

Oh good god. Lurie...please. His gifts of hyperbole and self-involvement are endless...
Free, I think you know exactly why people have this reaction - I think everytime the clock ticks on not seeing them as a couple, eventually there's a little kindle of hope that builds in some people that they're done for good that gets crushed if there's any sightings or whatnot. Honestly, this thing won't be done at least until their movie comes out and you see her climbing someone else for real because she doesn't sit around for long. He has a horrendous work schedule, she isn't letting go, they both play into this, etc. I think they have about as much spark together when you see them as watching paint dry, but hey, it's their lives. We're just watching. I'm sure the next week with her movie and his show premieres will be all kinds of fun and clever JJ headlines to match. At least the dog is getting the benefit of some fresh air and company.....and it doesn't smug while getting pap'd....

My point Squirrel is that this is the least offensive and innocuous pap shot I've seen. Its wash, rinse, repeat...going on for quite some time now. The reaction IMHO wasn't warranted for what it was. But, that's just my opinion, and from what I've seen, I'm in the minority. Cool, whatever.

^^Understood. To a lot of people that wasn't just Skars walking a dog, or getting caught by the paps at Runyon, it was like the specter of KB literally reared up in that photo and dived out at them and they were in a different place. I can understand the disappointment in the sense of we'd all like the soap opera to go away, it was a nice respite to get a pile of news about work, new mag pics, etc, but that is part of his existence and every now and then we're going to see it. Just haven't seen it in a while and the shields were down, I guess.
I totally agree with you. I think what's happening is people are starting to follow him more in depth. Instead of just following JJ type posts people are looking for more stuff and after finding it, they are going through Skars/KB "labor". All the stuff that we have gone through in the last year and a half, following every detail, see the total wash, rinse, repeat that you mention. But there are new fans now who haven't been through the cycle and they are now in the early stages and will have to learn the hard way that this relationship is F**ked up and makes no sense. They will have to go through all the stages and come to a realization that it is what it is. They are together in their own weird way. How serious? who knows? I have given up on trying to understand their relationship and now just try to enjoy the pretty pictures of Skars, because ultimately that is all that I care about.2 weeks to the premiere!!!
I totally agree Free. But I think most of us long term fans are used to this ^^. We have become somewhat desensitized to this Merry-go-round. Nothing new for us here, but the newbies are reeling from this latest fiasco. Their relationship is very cyclic and I feel like I've been down this road before. We will soon be bombarded with their togetherness. The dog is just a taste of what's to come.
I was more incensed with the Broken Bells fiasco.
