Sad to see him go. Don’t love the cartoony stuff but enjoyed the maximalism he injected into Gucci. I think it’s a pity few designers stick around for decades at any one house anymore.

I feel you! I don't hate those Running GGs, but they're too easy (for others) to read. I have an 'Interlocking' and that's enough for me. I think my favourite was the horse head (apart from my father's which I inherited).
I really liked the AM Gucci years, the creativity! Hope whatever is next is as good. Gucci is one of my favorite brands.
I can’t believe the news. I loved his aesthetic. Is it possible he was involved in a controversy, and they let him go in advance of it going public? He really brought Gucci back to life. I’ll miss his maximalist 70s aesthetic desperately.

Apologies for suggesting something with the potential to raise suspicion. I truly simply can't fathom the house just letting him go. Fashion is, indeed, a cutthroat world.
