Sad to see him go. Don’t love the cartoony stuff but enjoyed the maximalism he injected into Gucci. I think it’s a pity few designers stick around for decades at any one house anymore.

I can’t believe the news. I loved his aesthetic. Is it possible he was involved in a controversy, and they let him go in advance of it going public? He really brought Gucci back to life. I’ll miss his maximalist 70s aesthetic desperately.

Same happened to Frida. A slowing of growth meant Gucci 'curtains' for them both.
