Alcohol and diamonds?!

It makes sense. Alcohol will remove the oils that get onto the diamond. I've heard of people using Windex as well.

My jeweler told me to use denatured alcohol. I use it after my regular cleaning and it makes my diamonds sparkle like crazy!

My jeweler suggested this type of alcohol. It cannot be ingested. There is a difference between this and rubbing alcohol. I'll ask DH to help out with a better explanation
