Agree, we go to Alaia to not have the brand name stamped on the bag, but for the “if you know you know” vibe!
Also since the shape is triangular on the bottom, I think the items will be moving to the center, it’s a bit a weird shape to have, not very practical
I have an Alaia question - I got a Le Papa on Vestiaire (it’s a lovely antique rose colour, more pink than the photo)
from a reputable reseller for less than half price. It was verified officially as genuine by Vestiaire. It arrived and the alaia name (printed in gold) is missing from the front under the clasp (which actually looks nicer - see photo). The rest of the branding (clasp, inside) is perfect, leather is lovely, stitching flawless and the bag is beautiful. I raised the issue with the seller and they immediately agreed to take the bag back for a refund. I think it is real and I am not yet sure if I will return it. My questions are:
1) is a missing logo something that could happen with samples or seconds?
2) assuming it’s genuine (I think it is), is there any reason not to keep it (because of the logo)? I don’t plan to resell it.
What do you guys think?

Hi! How has this bag been wearing and faring? I'm keen to get this bag one day and not many reviews on it.
Most counterfeiters would dupe popular and trendy bags and the good thing about Alaia is that it's so under-the-radar that their bags would not be duped.
Having said that, I do share your concern. For piece of mind, I would return it and look out for another good deal to come up.

Hi there! It's been wearing quite well for me after one year, still looks amazing. I use it to carry a bunch of stuff, laptop, etc. I love using it and am not a careful person. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the mouth is quite wide, so if you like to have only one strap on your shoulder to look for things, this bag may not suit that. But for me, the art is worth it
