Lovely bag, I'm glad it worked out! For future reference, if I want to keep the box (especially in the past when the boxes could not be flattened), I empty my suitcase and put the box in, then I fill the box with my clothes and put the rest of my clothes around the outside of the box. This way, all of your clothes still fit in the suitcase and they also serve to protect the box by padding it from all sides.

In case anyone reads this thread for future reference - I just traveled from Denmark to the US yesterday with a Neverfull GM. I kept it in the box (folded up the bag it came in) and went through security just fine. No problem fitting in the overhead compartment either. The airline flight attendant (SAS airlines) was really kind and just curious what I had bought! However, I was stopped by the JFK border control (after declaring it in customs) and they reviewed my receipt, asked questions, etc because it did really stick out due to the size. Luckily my purchase was under the $1600 threshold (for married couple) so I didn't have to pay any additional taxes.

Just curious, did you buy anything else while you were in Europe?

I did not unfortunately ! I was only in Denmark for a short layover so I didn't have much time to shop. We were in Croatia for our trip where there are no luxury stores. But the prices in Denmark were great in comparison...
You did good enough, brought a beautiful large Neverfull home without any issues:flowers:
