Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased pre-loved Kelly 28 in Chevre leather. However, the top handles seems saggy and can't stand up properly. I think this is normal over time, but anyone has experienced this same problem before and any solution for this ?

Thank you so much in advance, looking to hear valuable insights from H- experts

It so lovely but looks like it might have been stored standing rather than lying down.

It is a very desirable bag.
Does it matter?
Just ask yourself when is it actually stood up on display?
Surely, not very much when you are using it?
Then, the bag is hanging below the handle. When you have to put it down,
would you really want to stand and display it somewhere exposed and inviting theft?

Think the French BCBG, surely that is the style you want.

Looked up this thread for the same issue (one difference is that mine is a sellier k25 epsom)! I guess it was because I move the handle manually to one direction everytime I wear it crossbody (I would be very worried if the handle is glued to the D-ring because it would sticks againsts my waist, ouch!) . So yes rest assured :), even sturdier Ks are subjected to the same problem :).

Haha I actually have the same issue with the same combo! Non of my other k25 in epsom has this issue so contemplating send it to Hermes spa. Form my point of view, given that it’s a new bag, the handle should stay upright. Not sure what you lovelies think of the matter.

wouldn't bother me at all- Its a handbag and as long as the handle serves its purpose (to carry the bag) I'd be fine with it

Haha I’m ocd so little stuff like this bothers me.

Will have my SA in Paris take a look. Since they don’t usually repair handles, unless I bring it up early I am worried that when it does get worst in the future, Hermes won’t take care of it for me.

As long as its authentic Hermes will ALWAYS fix a bag providing you have not taken it elsewhere to be fixed or messed with in any way.
They will indeed replace handles-I could have the handle on my 40year old Kelly replaced but when they gave me the cost I decided to keep it as it is and put the money towards another bag.
The beauty of buying a Hermes bag is the after-sales service.
Yes it costs and it isn't quick but there is no time limit on it.
But I do of course understand -its your bag and if it bothers you you need to raise your concerns with your SA sooner rather than later.
good luck!
And do keep us updated

Oh that’s good to know! I heard from other ladies on the forum that they don’t repair the handle, that’s why I was in a rush to get it fixed. It just came from the boutique in September so I was weirded out that the handle doesn’t stay up (I know it could happen to vintage bags).
Will keep everyone updated!
