When you look up the dimensions of a mini, it is a couple inches smaller than the small. So I'm not sure how it would fit more?I don’t have much experience with the small flap but I would probably save up for a medium flap because I heard that the capacity of a small flap doesn’t worth the price. A rectangular mini can probably hold more and is cheaper. I wouldn’t give up my mini square for a small flap
I heard that because the small flap is double flap? So that kind of uses some spaces? Or maybe the small flap can only hold a little more than rectangular mini which shouldn’t be ~$1500 different in price?
I have mini rectangle, small and medium CF and confirm that the mini rectangle can hold almost as much as the medium CF and more than the small one thanks to its single flap and less rigid structure. The mini size is almost perfect unless you want to wear the bag with double chain on shoulder, and also the premium on mini in caviar leather on preloved market is now too high to justify buying a preowned bag over retail price.

I have no regrets. I feel that caviar is so much better for my lifestyle, the chain drop doesn’t bother me crossbody, and for my frame the small looks better than the medium. The price difference is probably because the small requires more craftsmanship than the mini since it has more details, rather than in terms of what it can fit. Minaudiere fits nothing and yet they are much more pricey.
I also sold my lambskin mini and got the small black caviar, I don’t feel like I need two bags that are so similar. And I love my small!
