Warning: Long post!.. but i just wanted some advice on what i should do.
It was my birthday last week and SO gave me a Love bracelet. I went to the gym early that morning and when i came home, SO had already left for work. As i was getting ready for work i saw that he had left the present on my dressing table and at the same time he called and we spoke while i opened it. I tried on the bracelet and told him it was a bit large to which he told me that size 16 was the smallest size.
That night after work he puts the bracelet on me and we head off to dinner.
Fast forward 6 days and we are overseas for the Easter break. I decide to go into Cartier and try another bracelet, just to see what 2 bracelets would look like on. As im in the store, the SA gives me a size 16 bracelet to try on.. and it is then that we discover my bracelet is actually a size 17!
SO tells me he went into the store 3 times when ordering the bracelet and the had quite a lengthy discussion with the SA about getting a size 16 in as my wrist is quite small. She tells him she will have to order it in, and on the day that he picked it up, she simply showed him the bracelet in the box and wrapped it up.
The size 16 is a much better fit. I have had to change the bracelet onto my right hand because it was coming too far down on my left hand and i could actually take it off without undo-ing the screws. However i write with my right hand so would prefer to wear it on my left.
We checked the receipt and the SA wrote on the receipt that it was a size 16.
I didnt check the size before i put the bracelet on.. i just assumed it was a 16 as SO told me it was the smallest size. SO also didnt check the size when he picked it up because the SA called him once she got the bracelet in and had it all ready when he came in to collect it.. so he just assumed it was the right size.
Im not sure what to do. Im really bummed because i would prefer the size 16.. but at the same time, i have already worn this bracelet for a week!
