Wow thanks everyone for your input--I thought for sure everyone would like the eternity more..

I just spoke with our family jeweler and told him about the ring, curious if he had anything like that. He can make me the 1/2 eternity with bigger stones for a lot less. Hopefully in 10 to 14 days, I'll have it in my hot little hands!

I am a sapphire lover as well, but if you have the money to significantly upgrade your ring, that's what you should do. No matter how many other rings you get you will still want an upgrade! I would only upgrade if I could go at least .75 more or larger AND get a decent quality diamond. What are you going to do with your old diamond? If you trade it you'll likely get next to a fraction of its value. Selling outright is a better deal, but unless you can get thousands I'd keep it for sentimental value and make another piece with it. Have fun!:D
