Advice for perfect Hermes shade of green - is vert anis out of style?

I would love to add a bright green bag for summer and I am debating over the following colors. Would love to have the lovely experienced people of Purseforum chime in.

1. Vert anis - I love this color so much. Never seen it in real life but in photos it looks exactly like my favourite hue of green. However, I'm worried that this color might be "dated"/out of style. Also even older bags in this color are selling for quite a premium.

2. Vert criquet - I do like this color, have seen it in the store and think it looks cute. But compared to vert anis it looks a bit too pastel-y for me.

3. Bamboo - I have a SLG in this color but I'm not sure if this color is too much for a bag?

Would love to hear all of your thoughts. Thanks so much!!!

Def go for the colour you love best v fashion dictates.

I've had a Bambou bag since 2014 and still love it. I will love it after all this BV-led 'Grass' colour has passed and it's no longer fashionable anymore.

Green is such a hot color this season so all shades of green are going for a premium right now...whether the premium is justified or not. When I started collecting Hermes, I (kinda) liked VA, but with all the other shades that have been released since that time, over a decade ago, I much prefer ANY other green option... pretty obvious I don't like VA at all anymore. I feel chartreuse, which is how I would describe VA, gives off a very dated vibe. Just my (probably) unpopular opinion (on this thread anyway). Of the three you listed, Bamboo is def the best, but in a smaller sized bag bc of how bright it is. Love Bamboo!

Can't wait for the green trend to die down a bit so I can buy some bags at a reasonable price again. Which shades of green do you like? Love your collection btw. I noticed on your Instagram that you have a Birkin in a green very similar to VA, could you please share what the colour is? Thanks!!!

Can't wait for that either!

Hi babe! Thank you so much!
I know... the green trend is just too much. Green was one of my fav colors (aside from purple) that has been missing from my collxn forever. I asked my fairy for a green for my next bag... specifically I love Bamboo, Cactus, Jade, & Verone... and to my suprise...
She offered a Vert Verone Verso (Graphite on the inside) a few weeks later. This green is named after the water ways of Verona Italy. Soooo dreamy.... take a peek. Although it's nothing like VA, it's current, so if you love it, you can ask at the boutique... Honestly I love Bamboo as a more pure green. VV is more of a hybrid color... for me it gives tropical vibes bc it reminds me of Lagoon (with a less blue and white tones). Here are a few pics in diff lighting. The first pic is the way I see the color most. :flowers:

I think Vert Anis is a fabulous green and am always on the lookout for a B35 in it. So incredibly sophisticated and smartens up almost any color year-round: Gray, black, dark green, camel, beige, chocolate brown, burgundy, purple. For summer it looks smashing with white or navy. Certain greens (like Vert anis, Bengale, and bamboo for example) seem to develop their own niche following that keeps the prices up even on the secondary. It’s often like that I’ve noticed with what some consider to be H’s more ’difficult’ colors. It’s not really that they are difficult, they are just very complex, interesting and French. So, over the years as people discover and re-discover them, they gain a kind of legendary status of their own.

I prefer darker greeens to light ones but Anis and Chartreuse are definately my favourites in the mid/light green palets. There's no such thing as a colour being out of fashion IMO, it's more a question of whether a colour suits us or not, that's the most important thing.
And even better, people on the hunt for preloved Vert Anis bags, which seem to be around quite a bit at present, will find pretty good pricing! My first ever pair of Jimmy Choos, from, I think, the first collection back in the 90s are a lime green that would work well with these tones. If I ever pick up a bag in Vert Anis I may have to dust off those heels as well!

I don’t have a single green bag, but I have been thinking of requesting one since I have been really enjoying green scarves and green outfits.

If you can get all of those colors, you need to think about what you will actually wear. I am not a big fan of the ‘is this out of style?’ question. Wear what you want and what will go with your wardrobe.

Vert criquet is very pastel-y to me. It could be okay if that is your vibe. Like I said, I don’t believe in the out-of-style concerns, but I do think this will look outdated/of its period the fastest.

I would choose Bamboo over Vert Anis, but I am going by my wardrobe. I have a lot of strong greens and blues, which Bamboo would go well with. To me, Bamboo is the most classic green. Vert Anis is nice, but I know I would struggle to wear it.

You may be quite the opposite to me. You need to look at your wardrobe and think what will go well with what you have.

I would go with what suits your personal style and wardrobe. As CoCo Chanel said fashion fades, only style remains. Whatever you love and works for your wardrobe and climate is the right pick.
