Advice for chipping paint design?

I think you're right. Trouble is, if you just pop the wallet into your bag where it's bumping against other items then it's going to wear pretty quickly. I have heard of people who always put their wallet back into a dustbag inside their bag but I could never be bothered with the faff personally! It would probably prevent some of the chipping though.
I kept it in a separate part of my bag so nothing would bump up against it. :(

Sure enough, I was told normal wear and tear. I think at this point I'll either keep it and only use it sometimes, or maybe just sell it (I've seen ones in worse shape for sale, so it must not bother some people if they're buying them in this condition).

I purchased this wallet from the Christmas Animation Evasion collection in December 2015. I love it and noticed that the paint was starting to chip so I put it away, but then I realized that it was silly to have it and not use it and have been using it every day again for a few months now. Of course, this means the chipping is worse. Any advice on how to stop it or slow it down? Or is this just going to slowly keep happening? I'm sure it's most noticeable to me and not to anyone else at this point, but it makes me sad.View attachment 3996459 View attachment 3996460 View attachment 3996461 View attachment 3996462

Also, is there any way to safely remove the design if the chipping gets bad so I can continue using the wallet?
So I mixed Angelus Finisher with a bit of Angelus Duller to seal the print with a paint brush. No one can tell I sealed it :)

I’ve had the same experience with the chipping on previous collections. Unfortunately this happens. I think that is why I’m hesitant to use my Christmas animation pieces and I’m actually tempted to sell them while they are in good condition. They are just so cute though!

So I was able to purchases these clear plastic pouches that fit the pochette really well (I do need to trim down the height) but my
pochette fits great! I place the mini pochette in the plastic pouch if I need to toss it in a bigger bag where it might rub with other items.
