Happy anniversary.My sweet DH started a tradition to get me a Cartier gift on our anniversary, this year is just our second so I’ve been excited to see what he picked! Last year he went to get the white regular size Love but preferred the sm white gold w/ diamonds once he saw it. I kind of assumed he’d go with the same but yellow gold version this year.
Long story, but I broke my ankle this past week… we had planned on going by to pick up my surprise before we were supposed to fly to the Bahamas. We were planning on just trying on the things that I’ve had on wishlist to see what we both loved and to check sizes.
First I tried the the sm yellow gold JUC w/ diamonds, we both immediately LOVED it the with my current sm Love.
I tried on the Clash and Ecrou too; I quickly added Clash to my wishlist and marked off the Ecrou, neither of us liked it on.
I decided the Clash would have to come after I got a regular size Love due to the proportions.
I tried on some rings for fun and for sizing too, I’ll add those pics. To my surprise, I really loved the Clash ring but only in rose gold, the white seemed to lose the details. I also love the double wrap JUC pave ring, LOVVVVVE
My SA was so fun, he was serving lots of champagne and grabbing things left and right to try.
He noted my sizes and I thought we were ready to leave, as my gift had been wrapped and ready for a quick pick up...
then DH said “do you want to get the JUC?”
I looked at my SA and was like “well, yaaaaa!” Lol
The SA was so cute, he was excited "oh how fun!!! Let me get a fresh one!"
I’m thinking my sweet DH felt sorry for me hobbling around on crutches and it ruining our trip.
I was surprised and so excited, and was still dying to find out what the actual gift was!!
SA sent us home with champagne, chocolates and 2 travel pillows.
A day later I opened my planned gift, it was a regular yellow gold Love with 4 diamonds and he had it engraved
“Swanky & Mr Swanks Forever” with anniversary date
I was very surprised and VERY happy lol
I have pics of the spontaneous JUC purchase, then pics of all 3 together plus various items I snapped pics of trying on.

Hang in there, you'll be fine. It's the aftermath that's the worst. Not to scare you, but it's just an inconvenience having to use crutches, or a scooter (whichever you choose), and then a boot, which isn't that bad because at least you can walk.All they didn't get was my wedding ring I was wearing and one of my DH's Hublot watches he had on; they got EVERYTHING else. We're safe and keenly aware of that blessing!

I've never been injured, sure as heck haven't ever broken a bone, I'm pretty anxious!

So lovely! Mr. Swanky did so well! Happy Anniversary and best wishes for many more. Fingers crossed for a swift and easy recovery from ankle surgery. Also, DH swears by millenium crutches with springs, but I never got the hang of them. Once you get the walking boot on, it’ll be so much easier and you’ll feel a lot more independent. Hang in there!Thanks for asking. It went as well as it could, I have some new hardware as a souvenir
I’ve never been injured or had surgery like this, it’s been quite a blow tbh. I’ve lost my independence, and likely won’t get it back for another 6-8 weeks. My DH had immediately ordered a scooter which has been great, the crutches were so uncomfy and awkward for me.
I’m blessed with a freakishly patient and sweet DH which is what has kept me sane!
