Do you own the macbook version of this tote or the regular version? I was hesitating between the two for the longest time with the saffiano travel tote. Thought the non macbook version looks dressier but like you i was worrying about its thin straps and how it seems to lose its shape & get wrinkly when the bag is not filled up.
I own the regular jet set travel tote in the brown monogram to be exact. I don't own a macbook so I did not buy that one because I wasn't sure if the dimensions of my laptop would fit in the designated macbook pocket. I do, however, love the saffiano leather totes. I don't believe they were out when I was looking into buying a tote and that's one of the reasons I bought mine.
It is going to depend on what you are looking for in a tote, as far as color and function, as well as when you will primarily be using it. I was looking for a brown bag at the time and so I bought my tote. Now, I would love a black tote, and I have been looking into the black saffiano jet set tote.
The straps are very durable and definitely hold their own. When I first used my bag, the straps were stiff but they softened up quickly and are wonderful. I hang my tote on a coat hanger that I use to hang purses so it has held its shape very well.
I have not experienced wrinkling but the regular jet set totes are not as stiff as the saffiano. If I set my bag down, and it has things in it such as my notebook or laptop and a sweater etc., it slouches a bit but I fix that by pulling the top of the bag together by the handles and it sits up perfectly fine.
Sorry about the length of the response and I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
