Do you own the macbook version of this tote or the regular version? I was hesitating between the two for the longest time with the saffiano travel tote. Thought the non macbook version looks dressier but like you i was worrying about its thin straps and how it seems to lose its shape & get wrinkly when the bag is not filled up.

I own the regular jet set travel tote in the brown monogram to be exact. I don't own a macbook so I did not buy that one because I wasn't sure if the dimensions of my laptop would fit in the designated macbook pocket. I do, however, love the saffiano leather totes. I don't believe they were out when I was looking into buying a tote and that's one of the reasons I bought mine.

It is going to depend on what you are looking for in a tote, as far as color and function, as well as when you will primarily be using it. I was looking for a brown bag at the time and so I bought my tote. Now, I would love a black tote, and I have been looking into the black saffiano jet set tote.

The straps are very durable and definitely hold their own. When I first used my bag, the straps were stiff but they softened up quickly and are wonderful. I hang my tote on a coat hanger that I use to hang purses so it has held its shape very well.

I have not experienced wrinkling but the regular jet set totes are not as stiff as the saffiano. If I set my bag down, and it has things in it such as my notebook or laptop and a sweater etc., it slouches a bit but I fix that by pulling the top of the bag together by the handles and it sits up perfectly fine.

Sorry about the length of the response and I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

I've been looking into these two bags for a long time also (Jet Set Macbook Travel Tote vs. Medium Jet Set Travel Tote both in saffiano leather). I'm trying to find a nice practical school/work/everyday bag and I think the Macbook travel tote in saffiano leather is the one for me. The Macbook version is $300 while the Medium version is $278. Even though the Macbook version is a bit more expensive, I think it'll be worth paying the extra $22 for 3 extra compartments (1 extra slip pocket, 1 large laptop compartment, and 1 tablet compartment) and a larger body frame in general (the macbook version is 1/2 wider and 1 inch DEEPER). To me, compartments and size differences matter, that's my weird way of rationalizing what's worth my buck hahah, dont judge!

But I've also questioned the strength of the straps on the saffiano travel totes. When comparing the two bags, the Macbook version's straps look a teeny bit thicker than the regular medium one if that matters at all. But I may be wrong..

As for the shape, I think the Macbook version beats the regular Medium because there's a middle laptop compartment that is sewn on the top sides of the bag that I think will help keep the bag sitting up straight. I've also seen it in person and there was no sag to it whatsoever.

But let me know what you decide on getting! I would also encourage you to watch youtube reviews on these two bags, there are a good number of them out there!! good luck.
