I feel like the black is a little easier/more carefree to use. Not sure why but my backpacks take more abuse than my normal bags.

The turtledove color is sure very graceful, but I guess you're right, I would find it more appropriate on a more formal styled bag. A backpack is supposed to withstand some abuse, and black would be perfect, not to mention a bit rock and very chic.:cool::smile:

Yes, that’s all true. I don’t think you can go wrong with either colour but the black is probably going to be more versatile and easier to keep looking great. Good luck choosing!

Black is classic, it'll age beautifully over time and I don't have to baby it. Moreover, the dark color visually makes the bag look smaller and cuter. But the that taupe is very elegant. I just don't know....

Okay. The Montsouris PM bag is even more gorgeous in person. The size is perfect, it's on the petite size to my surprise. I thought it would be a big backpack, but it's not. It's very graceful and petite.

I went to my local store today to check it out and here are my thoughts. The black is so natural, it looks like MY bag. Like I OWN it already. I can imagine it aging beautifully.

But the turtledove color is just divine. It looked SO beautiful on display and now I'm more confused than ever. The taupe color is similar to Hermes etoupe, but lighter, creamier. Please help!

Go for the black one! The fact that you already feel like it's your bag says everything :) That's how you should feel when you buy a bag

Hahaha. I was trying both colors on, back and forth, playing with the bags. Then when it was time to leave, I almost walked out of the store with the black one because subconsciously it's mine already.

Except the sales rep said, "not so fast. You haven't paid. And don't forget about your Pochette Metis because you've got your wallet and keys in there!" What a funny shopping experience!

A few more days. And I think I'm ready.

I'm still thinking. Thought I would have pulled the trigger by now, but it's so hot and dry (Southern California) where I am, the idea of a black backpack just isn't suitable right now. Meanwhile, that turtledove with pink interior is so divine just like you said, I'm being pulled.

I used to live in the Bay Area, then black would have been a no brainer.
Then I thought about monogram/ black, but no, no. Down here where I live people are so tired of the monogram print. Everyone's going empreinte leather. Hahaha.

i am curious as to why black would be a no brainer for the bay area?

Do you like to accessorize/personalize bags? I like black as you can put fun charms or bandeaus on them and really almost any of them will always match a black bag. But the taupe is georgous too…. The other great thing is that I think the journey to purchase the bag is part of owning a beautiful bag in the end - thinking about it, checking out reviews, trying them on - it is all part of it, so this bag will be really special and very much “yours” when you get it, no matter which one you end up choosing. Sending you all the good vibes for a much better year ahead than your past one.

I can't help you with this one. You're on your own.
Seriously, they're both gorgeous!:love::love: You will love either one, so Iam guessing that you will eventually choose the one that you think is slightly more beautiful and/or useful.
What are you going to do???

Its a good dilemma to be in. Stay strong and keep looking after yourself. BTW, I love the turtledove colour but it suits my wardrobe better. Choose the colour that will work best for your wardrobe. Good luck deciding.

I am sorry for what happened in your life, we all have our highs and lows. Glad you are ok now and trying to spoil yourself again with beautiful goodies. Get the one that you really like and can enjoy for the longest dear.

I'm glad I'm able to think about shopping again. I was in such a terrible headspace, nothing could pull me out of it. It's amazing how time and healing can do. And a large part of the fun is actually deciding on which one to get.

I’m so sorry this year was so painful for you. I’m glad to see you starting to heal and it’s a good reminder for all of us that time really helps. Best of luck finding something you love!
