Already got the answer about the Lido/Nastri:

Q: Is Lido the Nastri?
TDL commented this - The Nastri has a pretty firm (and wide) base while the original Lido like the one with the fringe does not have a base. When you have it hanging on your shoulder, the base of the Nastri feels a bit awkward since it is quite stiff against your side. It's even much stiffer than any of my mini or medium Cabats that also have a base.

A: Both yes/no. Lido is the name of the bag - Nastri is the workmanship. Fringe (also workmanship) is the Lido. Vernicetta (also workmanship) is the Lido. Nuvolato is also the Lido.

The reason it is stiffer versus the Fringe is because it's double faced. So it's made the like Cabat and they put the piece of leather to hide the seams.

Thanks, jburgh!

As much as I love my tpf SO Stretch Knot , I will be sitting this one out based on the new details. I'm not ashamed to say that the price is the factor here. I'm just trying to remain true to myself and keep in mind the things that I have on my personal wish list.

I do appreciate your having looked into this for us, though.

Just curious, does it have to have the croc handles? (I am assuming yes because I seem to remember SO's have to have an exotic.) I know that is taking the price higher.

Thank goodness I have my Mini Copper Specchio and I highly recommend Goatskin!
I like my bags to look brand new forever, so I do baby them, I enjoy them but I baby them, that's just who I am. My Goatskin Mini is the one bag I never worry about. It is my lightest color bag and I wear it often. I tend to buy black or very dark colors for fear of having any of my bags stained, marked or scuffed, with Goatskin, this is not a worry.

This fall's micropizzo lasered black and white bag is also a Lido bag.

If BV is offering a the standard flat fettuce weave, I would imagine that this would be the closest to a mini cabat we have seen yet!

I would love to participate, but this is way out of my range! I only wish I could have participated in one of the previous special orders...I would LOVE a SLG or knot...but I know I missed out on those!

I will live vicariously through those of you who order! :D

Jburgh - maybe in the future, we can SO a piece of jewelry or accessory that could be more affordable? Like oxidized silver earrings or a shawl, etc? Price point under $1000. At some point, it'd be cool to be involved in a special order here since the BV forum is such an enjoyable place to spend time :)

Yes, this would be most wonderful.

I like this idea too.

I appreciate all your effort and dearly wish I could participate. The price point eliminates me, unfortunately. In fact, looking at the new Cruise catalog prices, most of the BV bags are out of my league now, sadly.
