Already got the answer about the Lido/Nastri:
Q: Is Lido the Nastri?
TDL commented this - The Nastri has a pretty firm (and wide) base while the original Lido like the one with the fringe does not have a base. When you have it hanging on your shoulder, the base of the Nastri feels a bit awkward since it is quite stiff against your side. It's even much stiffer than any of my mini or medium Cabats that also have a base.
A: Both yes/no. Lido is the name of the bag - Nastri is the workmanship. Fringe (also workmanship) is the Lido. Vernicetta (also workmanship) is the Lido. Nuvolato is also the Lido.
The reason it is stiffer versus the Fringe is because it's double faced. So it's made the like Cabat and they put the piece of leather to hide the seams.
Just curious, does it have to have the croc handles? (I am assuming yes because I seem to remember SO's have to have an exotic.) I know that is taking the price higher.
Jburgh - maybe in the future, we can SO a piece of jewelry or accessory that could be more affordable? Like oxidized silver earrings or a shawl, etc? Price point under $1000. At some point, it'd be cool to be involved in a special order here since the BV forum is such an enjoyable place to spend time![]()
