Oh my! The bal fakes are harder to spot or at least to me. I'm in the hunt for my first bal. I'll make sure to have it authenticated here before bidding on eBay. Does Balenciaga ever go on sale in the US?
I actually just purchased this one and considering the picture it looked pretty good to me. The bag wasn't listed properly, I believe it's actually a Weekender and not a Work. Keeping my fingers crossed since it's such a good deal, but definitely will have it authenticated here once it arrives, in addition to cross examining it with my other Balenciaga bags. Wish me luck!

If you didn't pay the item yet, please don't. Please contact the seller to cancel the transaction. The picture clearly showed a sign of a fake. It's much less hassel to cancel the transaction, if you didn't pay it and the item is not shipped yet. If you already paid, please contact your seller anyway to cancel the transaction. FYI, the black is most faked color. Please be extra careful when you buy a Bal not direct from a Bal boutique. Good luck!
AHHHH...really? :cry: Unfortunately, I think I might be a little too late to ask for a refund directly from the seller as it has already been paid for and shipped. The bag should get here in a couple days so I will absolutely post more detailed shots to have it looked over just in case. Bummer, I really thought it might be too good to be true ('04 chevre under $900 = a dream) and I guess in this case it was. Could you tell me what noticeably looks fake? I questioned the HW at first but it checked out that SS'04 produced a raised silver. & thank you so much for the heads up!

I know how you feel. Ebay should have removed the listing. I'm sure many members who saw the listings in here reported them. They sometimes remove the listings very quickly, but most of the times they are slow or don't do anything.

When you receive the bag, have it authenticated and file a claim on ebay. They might ask you a professional authenticator's letter. This seller is listings the same fake pink City that were sold on ebay a lot by an other seller. authenticonly posted about it before which was quoted below. I reported it to Bonanza before. But they didn't do anything. Please report it to them.

Thank you so much LoveM&S for all your help! I do understand completely about not disclosing what necessarily looks fake as tPF can be a gold mine for those looking to make fakes. I received the bag a couple days earlier and once I had it in my hands it was blatantly obvious that it was a counterfeit (PU, flimsy handles and the whole disgusting crap quality shebang). Fortunately, the seller has been very apologetic and agreed to refund me and cover the return shipping costs and cancel the transaction. She's stating she honestly did not know that it was fake as it was a gift from her ex-bf hmmm not sure whether to give her the benefit of the doubt
