Hermès Lindy 26 in bleu nuit & GHW

Next up in the storytelling is Miss Lindy. Now this had always been in my radar. It first caught my attention when my former editor carried it to an event. Afterwards, a YouTube vlogger unboxed her Lindy and I was sold!

Unfortunately, back then, other pieces came higher in my list. It also didn't help that H online inventory used to be plentiful, pre-pandemic. Like many others, I thought my non-BKC favorites would always be there, ripe for the picking any time (we all thought wrong). And so the Lindy sort of just faded in the background, though not necessarily forgotten.

I have a habit of making collages of the items in my H wishlist. I made a collage a day before my shopping appointment last year and I sent it to my SA. A chance encounter with the Lindy via an Instagram post had me remembering how it's a great non-BKC bag. So in my shopping collage, I indicated I hoped to have either a Garden Party 30 or a Lindy 26. I even included a 24/24 in the 21 cm size. I was somehow determined to maximize my downtown SF trip by going home with a bag. And went home with a bag, I did. :)

Chanel Small Classic Double Flap chevron in black caviar & LGHW
Chanel Mini Rectangle Flap in black caviar & SHW

Let's do another two-for-one, here.

Miss Small Classic Flap's the last Chanel bag I bought. I got her right smack in the middle of the pandemic in, I think, 2021. But around that time, Chanel had not yet gone in price increase overdrive. It had just had its first increase the year prior and my sweet SA managed to secure the last one in this specific style in the US for me.

Now the same SA was responsible for Miss Mini. I was initially hesitant to get her, but my SA was pretty convincing. Years later, I would thank her for managing to convince me to get this as it has been a long while since rectangular minis in caviar leather in this specific style were available. This girl is five or six years old, was a little over $3K when I got her, and is now over $6K in the reseller market. So nope. She's not going anywhere.

P.S.
This picture was supposed to be an Instagram post. I had all but forgotten about it until today. And yep, all of those fit in both the Mini and the Small flaps.

Chanel Medium Classic Double Flap in beige clair & GHW

This beauty is my second to the last Chanel purchase! I got her two months into the pandemic when the world was starting to shut down but Saks in Phoenix was still open. Thanks to the Chanel Reetzy group on Facebook, I managed to secure this dainty flap before Chanel started going crazy with its price increases. Imagine, this was under $7K in 2020!

Chanel Boy Old Medium in caviar leather & RHW

We associate the color "blue" with boys. I'm glad to have landed on this Boy in the most vivid blue I've ever seen. The back story is how I swore to my husband, in January 2017, that once I got my hands on this one, I would never buy anything that cost more than this for the rest of the year. This was $4700. Within the same year, I got my Birkin 35 and a Jumbo Classic Flap.

Gorgeous collection! I especially like the variety of colours. Which bags do you carry more frequently?
Hi! Thank you ☺️ I gravitate towards the easy-to-grab and/or hands-free, depending on the occasion, so it's mostly the crossbody ones (Evelyne PM, mini flap, Dionysus WOC, etc.) and the totes (Neverfull, St. Louis, GP30, Picotin, etc.).
