I cannot do it. I cannot use just one bag.....not even for a 2 week period. I am always changing things out. My attraction to fine leather is just too strong to keep it to one great bag.

I had some handed down Coach bags in college, and I can attest to this. They were leather but wore like iron. They've since been passed on to others and are in use even now.It is a sad comment on bags today that we have to worry about wear and tear after just a small amount of use. For us 'older folks' - and anybody who is in to vintage Coach (for example) - there used to be quality bags made that lasted generations and were handed down.
If you like one bag, go for it. Unfortunately this forum is not really conducive to that.

I've recently edited my collection down to 3 main bags, with additional 4 smaller bags that are for events/outings. I'm not hanging out here a lot, now, either.![]()
I have been using the open heart in rose gold from tiffany since 2016 and no plans of taking it offI’ve always admired those people that can find one bag they love & stick with it! …or one pair of classic earrings, or one beautiful gold necklace…. Some people even wear one lipstick time after time because that’s “their colour” ! I have admiration for those who do that (confidence in the choices they have made) but I’m far too fickle.![]()
Same goes for me. My bag is a part of my outfit. But I think it's great when some people just love one bag so much they carry it every day.To me it’s like wearing the same outfit every day. I have to change out my bag! But that’s just me…..
Right before Covid I rehabbed some of my own 'vintage' Coach bags from the early 90s with an eye toward selling, donating, or giving away. Spending time working with them reminded me of just how amazing that glove-tanned leather is. One in particular was my daily use bag for 2 years and looked it. Now, it's not pristine, but she looks good for her age and you'd never believe how well-used it is. My 12-year old commandeered one of the small bags for her own use (which I had secretly hoped for) so I can vouch for the multi-generational quality of those bags. And I'm holding on to the others for future use.It is a sad comment on bags today that we have to worry about wear and tear after just a small amount of use. For us 'older folks' - and anybody who is in to vintage Coach (for example) - there used to be quality bags made that lasted generations and were handed down.
