75th Anniversary Releases

As of now, I've been told that the following styles are slated for the 75 Anniversary Collection:

Dinky (original Penny) - comes with a leather strap AND a chain strap. Can be worn casual with leather, dressier with chain, or as a clutch if you don't put any strap on it.

Glovetan Saddle Bag - Many sizes, and many, many color combinations

Glovetan Duffle

Glovetan Mini Duffle

Mail Bag / Postman's bag (unsure of the official name… for men)

I too, haven't been on tPF in forever because I've liked pretty much nothing from Coach lately. BUT......the saddle bag, duffle and mail bag are intriguing me. I've seen pics of the saddle bag -- any of the duffle or mail bag?

I wonder if the mail bag will be a variation of this?

I love roomy front pockets, my favorite style bags-one for i-phone and another for keys with alarm. It happened once that I locked us in the house just putting my hands on the flat bag . That was something!

What are they talking about? "As if that was not enough to drool about we have the 1941 runway show’s collection for spring available exclusively at Colette as well, something that will certainly be pulling in the fashion tourists as they clamour they get their hands on pieces that are as old as the company itself, first shown on the New York Fashion Week stage September of 1940."

Coach wasn't making bags in the 40s. They started out as a men's wallet company.

Whatever "fashion expert" it is who writes that Fashionisers blog got it completely wrong. The writer said "As if that was not enough to drool about we have the 1941 runway show’s collection for spring available exclusively at Colette as well, something that will certainly be pulling in the fashion tourists as they clamour they get their hands on pieces that are as old as the company itself, first shown on the New York Fashion Week stage September of 1940..."

That's what happens when someone tries to crib from a WWD story without understanding the history involved.

WWD got it right, naturally:

"Colette is also to have the global exclusive preview of the Coach 1941 spring runway collection, first shown during New York Fashion Week in September. It is to debut here during the first week of February."

"Coach 1941" is Coach's name for their new luxury collection that debuted during September 2015's Fashion Week in NYC, of which the blogger is apparently unaware. I doubt VERY much if there was even a NY Fashion Week in September of 1940! In fact a quick Google shows that the term NY Fashion Week didn't come into use until the 1990s, and the first New York Fashion Press week was in 1943..

Just goes to prove what everyone says - "Any idiot can write a blog, and many of them do".

I didn't even pay any attention to dates, I'm more interested in what different bags are going to be involved in the 75th anniversary collection.

I know I am not alone in my love for the 65th Anniversary legacy bags. And 75 years is an even bigger deal! Are there any rumors of upcoming Legacy bags? I know the new designer wants to take the brand in a new direction, but I'm hoping he will throw us a bone (or a bag). I am not in love with any of the 1941 bags yet.
