its really interesting stone, it has cut issues but the colour is really nice, no brown undertones but a touch of grey at times (it shows in the evenings, or in overcast sky) and it changes from lilac, to medium purple, pink, blue tones....really cool stone! I think the "collar" you mention is above the white gold shank and surrounds the pavilion? its rose gold as well as the prongs but its hard to see on the pictures! the only white gold is the band itself:smile1:
have you decided to set your pink spinel yet? I love the colour of it, its so delicate!

ah, it looks WG in the pics. yes, I was talking about the band of gold around the pavillion. if it's RG too, then it must really bring out the pink in your stone.

can you even notice the cut issues when you're wearing the ring? I don't see any problems in your pics at all. the color sounds absolutely fantastic.

no, I haven't set my spinel yet (which isn't anywhere near as gorgeous a color as your stone). I have several things that I need to get together & bring to my jeweler. meeting with him about anything takes an incredibly long time (he's a talker), & I haven't wanted to set aside that kind of time lately.

yours is gorgeous, its going to add a nice sparkle to that pearl semi mount ring! I know what you mean, the jeweller I was talking about in the sightings thread is a major talker...like 2-3 hours of my day kind of talker LOL sometimes it gets a bit much and I have to cut him (his wife is the one with the jewels) off and just leave somewhat graciously.

what do you mean by several things...projects:graucho:?

^OK, then you know my pain. I have to set aside half a day for him. he's a genius & an artist, but I think he did a few too many drugs in the 60s...

lol...yes, I have some projects of my own for him, & we work together on other things as well.

I cant wait to see the results of these projects!
my guy well, he's a little crayzies and goes on about everything and anything...usually twice or three times in a single conversation! he has beautiful pieces with the price tags to match, so he'll stay my customer for now and not vice versa:p

ya I guess I do, it's funny because I don't consider my personality to be overly girlie or feminine but I think i'm one big oxymoron LOL

i'm a black belt in karate, jui jitsu and I do kung fu so thats a super masculine sports but I wear dresses and skirts 98% of the time and looove delicate jewellery....and yes yellow diamonds:graucho: i need to go to tiffany asap....

thanks lola! its hard to find a spinel with a lighter tone, this was a nice suprise when I got it in the mail, i'm sure you'll find your right stone soon:smile1:

Haha :ghi5: girly Hi5 for being a schizoid like me. I also have this super masculine aggressive personality, love sports cars and soccer and beer, but I also love bows, pink, dresses, frills and bling! I must be a gay man born in a woman's body :laugh:

Wow, were we separated at birth? LOL...I'm the same way; rather tomboyish with my hobbies but still love hair/makeup/clothes/etc.
