Here are pics of my Tiffany semi-eternity 2mm and 3mm channel bands. Sorry these pics are not the greatest and the bands are too big as I wear them as RHRs.

First pic - e-ring with 2mm
Second pic - e-ring with 3mm
Third pic - both bands together
Fourth pic - both bands with the e-ring

I hope this helps.

Definitely can tell the difference.

Btw how big is your solitaire mattallston? Cuz it looks pretty big!

That does help! Oddly, I think the difference is more noticeable with the channel bands than with the non-channel although that might just be the photos... my solitaire is set like yours as well although it is a different size. I think I'm leaning towards the 3mm because I prefer to only wear my solitaire for dress - more because I am prone to get it turning around on my finger or caught on things and bothering me than because its too dressy, but still...

My shared prong wedding band has 3 pointers, and my 3mm channel band has 3 pointers too but the channel setting makes the stones look bigger for sure. Since you will not be wearing the band with your e-ring, I suggest going for the 3mm.

Hi ladies,
I'm about to make my move on upgrading my 8 stone wedding band to a eternity band. But have a little trouble deciding what to do. My options are, a: upgrade to a 3mm eternity band what will match my e-ring, or b: reset the my stone in a 2.5mm setting and get the matching 2.5mm eternity band. To be honest, I like the thickness of my e-ring but would not mind resetting it to make the center stone look bigger. I'll attache a pic. Please let me know what you guys think.

Beautiful! What is the width on your wedding band now?

I would get the smaller eternity band and here's why... I love the larger eternity band, but I do think IT becomes the focal point instead of your solitaire. Plainly put, it overpowers it. To be honest, I'd probably even go smaller than you were thinking. I like the solitaire to really be the focal point. (Even a small eternity band is beautiful on its own if you choose to forego the solitaire that day) 😍
