26mm two-tone Rolex outdated?

No watch, either small or large, is going to "date" a person's look imho, unless you are pulling a pocket watch out of a waistcoat. Hairstyle, makeup, clothes and shoes are way more important and always grab my attention first. So, if your clothes, hair, and makeup are up to date and stylish, a smaller 26 mm watch won't doom your overall look one bit. So, I say wear your 26 mm Rolex, maybe stack a couple bracelets around it occasionally, and enjoy the heck out of it.

I am also laughing because while I totally agree with what you said, the pocketwatch line made me think of Big Bang Theory when Sheldon buys a pocketwatch, Penny says he looks ridiculous and he replies, “Nonsense, I look like a train conductor.” So even the pocketwatch might not date you lol.

I was thinking that someone like David Beckham could totally rock a pocket watch when he's in a morning suit too!

That said, I really think you can't look at a watch in isolation. That alone isn't going to look dated or on trend. It's the total package, the whole look. A larger watch, even if it is a Rolex or some other high end maker, isn't going to save an otherwise dated look either.

One of my gfs has a Rolex in those specs - 26 or 28mm, two toned DJ with diamond markers. It looks gorgeous on her and not dated at all, at least not in a negative way. However, to note, she is a very petite, slim girl so it looks proportional to her body.

fwiw, I grew up with oversized watches on women being the norm so if anything, seeing “smaller” watches these days is kinda retro-trendy to me and cool
