Yes, 24K is soft. I have a gold 24K bangle and made the mistkae of wearing it while moving and now it has a dent in it!:rant:

Bangles do tend to be difficult for me to wear so I tend to save those for special occassions, but my earrings, necklaces and rings tend to be just fine. The rings I have are pretty thick so that may be part of the reason I haven't had a problem.

I was wondering, do these earrings chime when the drops bump the discs? I have a pair of 18k hoops, and I love the way they sound when they clink together! (I notice funny things like this:amuse:)

I'm inspired now, and want to make jewelry with 24k!:yes:

I re-read it. It IS funny! :p Don't worry. I'm over the dent. It happened years ago. A good lesson in the delicacy of 14 K.

Another poster mentioned about earring chiming. I have a pair of hoops that chime because of the dangles on them.

Funny so many people like it here! My grandparents would always buy me a piece every year for X'mas when I was younger since they were in HK, but it drove me nuts! I rarely wore it, and it's now in storage at my parents place since the yellow is really unflattering on me, and I find it too soft to be practical. Oh well... to each their own!
