Here’s what I can fit in it. Honestly it’s one of the roomiest shoulder bags I’ve had.

- 2 card holders
- bastia slg
- 6 ring key holder
- sunglasses
- full box of mints

Definitely room for more but I don’t carry too much in general, so this is a lot for me haha.
It’s so gorgeous!! Congrats!! Do you feel the leather is delicate in any way/might be prone to scratching?

Hmmm. I usually go for more textured or treated leathers (ie. pebbled calfskin, Prada saffiano, YSL grain de poudre, etc.)
So compared to my other bags this is definitely a more fine grained leather, less textured and more smooth.
It gives the bag a beautiful luster and shine.
But I do think it is more prone to scratches. It doesn’t feel delicate like lambskin but due to the finer grain, yes, I think it’s easier to scratch and show scratches over time.
It’s something I considered when buying it and came to accept. (Since I generally prefer hard-wearing bags)

Btw, the black patent version in a more wrinkled texture (shown in my earlier photos), would probably handle wear and tear better or be less prone to showing it.

I really miss the piston lock. The closing mechanism lacks refinement. I love mine from the Alesandro era.

It was still available in-store when I last went in (a month ago) have you asked?

I have this newer closure (on a Bouvier) and I actually prefer this one on me for style, but as hardware goes, the piston lock is truly a thing of beauty.

I prefer both the Jackie and Bouvier (and Jackie 24) hardware over Hermes Trim I & II

For the upcoming fall season, the piston lock is back but only for the new iteration of 1961 Jackie. I think Sabato intentionally wants to keep the two versions separate. The 2024 Jackie has smooth leather, new hardware, and smooth leather lining. Whereas the new 1961 Jackie has grained leather, piston lock, and is unlined.

I still think the new 2024 Jackie, despite the new lock a lot of people don't like, has more of a cool sleek vibe to it, whereas the 1961 has the more slouchy relaxed vibe.

OMG that makes my head hurt! Glad I'm satisfied with my Aphrodites, which seem to be slowly disappearing from the lineup.

I couldn’t help but take a photo of some fun colors in the patent leather. Sadly the small version wouldn’t fit my iPhone 14pro. View attachment 6028818

Love the sea-foam colour, but no phone no go. My phone is actually smaller, but I still want the Med black - in patent (which they don't make).

I actually have a Small Horse-bit Chain shoulder bag in the biscuit-beige. Very useful.

But the Tote version has the hook and is unlined :cray:
