Not only too much money tied up, but what if they did give you all the items from all the CAs, and say the items are not refundable? That if you decide to return, you get store credit, rather than money back? You want to park that much money with LV?
they're def refundable, you have 30 days regardless of the preorder. it's just way too much to have parked somewhere.

That’s true but I’m thinking this way, you have bette4 chance of getting it
so let's say you put down three different deposits with three different sa's through the pre-order route. they're all going to send in the order at the same time once the window opens so you will have three orders pushed through that are going to be relatively around each other in sequence. that logic only works if the item was being sent to the store and the sa would then allocate the bag to you (which isn't how the preorder system works anyways). even let's say that is the case (which it isn't), you probably wouldn't get it still. the sa's will prioritize their recurrent clients that consistently shop with them before they give the bag over to someone who doesn't.

I've reached out to a few, but have not heard anything back. I do have a purchase history with LV, but it's not at the huge spender level! About 7 bags over three years, and the same number of SLGs. So I may not qualify for preorders, or even a response through Instagram! Anyway, life is good! Thank you.
yeah they are prioritizing at this point.

I still suspect a lot of this is about manufacturing a demand, with SA's being ordered to parrot the company line.

LV would not be announcing and celebrating release via social media and on their app with a reminder to save the date, if most people would not get a piece, unless of course it's about attempting to regain some credibility as a truly luxury brand, and pretend their pieces are scarce and only reserved for VIPs.

I imagine that some pieces like the trunks are scarce, but with the global downturn and lower profit margins, this release is meant to be a return to fortunes over a period when trading is traditionally very difficult.

I'm pretty certain that I'm going to be able to secure what I want, but despite loving the white MC, also think what will be, will be.

The good thing about the way it's been handled is that it's likely stopped many customers from being pressured/rushed into spending money because of FOMO.

This is why many countries have breathing room written into contract laws about certain purchases.

I've gone from super eager to buy all of the things, to well, whatever, it would be nice, but not going to sweat it and feeling more inclined to spend the money I would have spent over Christmas.

agree with this! they wouldnt be decorating full shop fronts like they did with the kusama release, making special packaging, if items are all sold out by now, i really believe that if an item is sold out now or sold out on release day, we will still be able to order and have to wait 6-8 weeks for it or they will come in stock online at an ungoldy hour of the night, as with many LV items

My SA was able to get me a CarryAll PM and a Clemence wallet. But those two were at the very bottom of my wish list and although I did use the payment link and paid, Im not even sure I want them. Ugh. Guess I could get them and return them if I decide I dont want it. I think the hype is throwing off my decision making skills
What do you mean by „bottom of your wishlist“? Why couldnt your SA order other Items? :-s

I’m thinking that others who have preordered might also be returning once their items actually arrive. It’s how I got a previously sold out Kusama item. So, fingers crossed!
