So what I’m gathering here is that I should plan for disappointment and to spend my money on something else?

Hoping some of those superstar Instagram SA’s will pull through for us!

It really is an awful feeling to have to chase a brand with this kind of money and get this kind of cold shoulder. 🤔

I will have to rethink my relationship with LV after this . . . well after drop 3.

A DEPWO is not yet an (pre)order, it's an DEPosit Without Order. It's just that your funds are available in your account once the orders open so an order can be placed directly and quick without the customer (you) has to intervene. I think these wordings create a lot of confusion in the Murakami threads. If an (pre)order is placed you will see the item processing in your LV account.

Anyway I hope your CA can get you what you want! :flowers:
As with the first release been told to keep checking my LV account because the preorder is not a guarantee. It is confusing.

It is frustrating. But honestly I value the multicolor items I had to hustle hard to get. If they were easy to obtain and I didn’t have to put in the work I probably wouldn’t value them as much.

But as a VIC, albeit a lowly tier 1, do feel a little snubbed that I’m not valued enough to be offered even one small thing. And there are plenty of customers willing to throw thousands and thousands at LV to buy these things. Interesting business model to turn away easy money for them.

So while I’ll chase and try to score something from these coveted launches, I won’t feel too bad if I get little to nothing. I have plenty of other places on my list who would happily sell me stuff.

I feel the same way on just about every point. Made some friends along the way as I tried to hunt down these impossible pieces from drop 1.

But there is a fine line between scarcity and . . . I don't know, almost disdain for your own most loyal customers. Like, LV corporate, you'll invest all these dollars into these marketing campaigns and you give away to (some quite ungrateful at times) influencers these coveted items and then tell your base, some of whom spend $50,000 a year, that the most you'll do for them is take their money without promise of an order . . . and call that customer service? I'l do it for Murakami. Wouldn't do it for anything else.

Yes! All of this! Especially the freebies for influencers.

Not to mention the number of people who were able to buy quite a lot and immediately resell at significant markup. I know it’s difficult to control that aspect but it seemed like eBay was flush with murakami items that were otherwise unobtainable.

So I can imagine if cherry Blossom is even more elusive we will see insane prices on the resale market.

I wonder how some of those people get so many pieces?
There was one Youtuber I saw who had two pieces of each item and was planning to sell the double item.

I noticed a majority of eBay murakami resellers were in Japan. Seems it was very easy to buy the items there, while US folks were desperately trying to get whatever they could because things were scarce.

Will be curious to see how this launch and cerises plays out compared to multicolor. So far it seems LV has no interest in making it easier or more clear.

My SA sent me the Lookbook today, but said that pre-orders won't be possible for now. However, he mentioned to let him know if I'm interested in pieces (probably trying to see if I want to order items in the 5 figure level, which might make a pre-order possible I guess )

I'm only interested in getting the Nice Mini. If I can order it without jumping through hoops I'm happy to get it, but I guess my money will just go to 🍊 again

Do you have a price on the victorine wallet?

Do you know what this means for Saks and NM? Because those SAs seem to be getting look books with prices too?

I can only speak for NM, but I think they are taking DEPWOs with zero idea as to whether anything will be filled. It's like just rolling the dice right now. All they know, it seems to me, is that they can take DEPWOs. They have no visibility into any other aspect of this launch.

Last time for U.S. it was 9am EST Day of, because at 8 am my time I was clicking like crazy. But of course, the website crashed so the entire thing was pointless.
I remember all too well 😭 I was on the tpf thread refreshing for hours and then didn't manage to actually order anything online bc it just kept crashing!
