Please share your feelings once you get everything! I have been trying to use self control and practice self containment. Really because initially I didn’t want anything from second drop. Those bags are not the styles I really go for. Didn’t care for it but now seeing all the unboxings I definitely feel fomo lol. Only thing I had is speedy in my cart but backed out last minute. Now wondering if I regret. I’ve sold speedy 25s in the past so that was my reasoning. My friend said just get something small but I already have SO MANY SLGs.
I'm in the same boat!! Haha

I try to think, would I still be glad I bought it 10 years later? Or even a month or two later? Hmm

Doesn't always work, but can help. Good luck (and no worries if you do end up buying- i might cave, too) 😅

i completely understand your point on too many SLG's, but also not wanting a speedy 25, that's why i always go for the pochette accessories because I can actually wear it, especially something in a loud design that you don't necessarily know if you love.

Idk… I’m honestly so over it. Ignore the text errors I was using talk to text. But I’m gonna get my a$$ there at like 8 AM and be in line and if I don’t get something, I’m gonna be really upset…
I know I kind of sounded short in the initial message and I didn’t mean to, but it just caught me off guard because the only reason why I want to even go there is for the murakami cherry blossoms

My assigned CA at 57th Street hasn't requested to cancel my appointment...yet. I wonder if this is coming from corporate or if reach location will set their own rules.

At first I thought it wasn’t stuffed enough. Then I was looking at superflat Keepall 45 (made in Spain) next to this one (made in France) and noticed the canvas is different ha.

CB Keepall prints are more crisp and vibrant and the canvas colour is also more vivid dark brown. This canvas is soft/pliable, possibly slightly thinner?
Superflat Keepall canvas is rigid. I didn’t notice that the colours were not as crisp but it looks matte and dull next to cherry blossoms. It is brighter brown. Feels like seeing a “supple” version of a bag next to a structured version. What is your take on the different types of canvas?
This is so interesting. I did notice that the canvas for MC, both white and black, seemed shinier and more vibrant, it honestly felt better quality and crisper on the bags (the instances of blurry printing on white slgs totally different), also more supple, almost more like leather in a way. I wonder if Murakami insisted on higher quality than LV was using for the regular line? I haven’t been that impressed about regular canvas the last few years bc of this. My brown monogram journal cover and agenda from a few years ago feel like they’re made of inferior canvas compared to my older pieces.

So you had an appointment scheduled for the 21st in DC.... and they cancelled it because of the release? Even though you made the appointment to shop the collection?? What the heck??!

Essentially… I’m going to have the communications to show when I arrive just in case they try to play games with me. Ahahaha

Yeah if the superflat Keepall feels more plastic, cherry blossoms Keepall feels more like it is trying to emulate their thin leather. Looking at some of the magazine photo shoots it looks like CB collection in general uses softer canvas except on the structured bags like on the go. Just not sure which type of canvas will wear better over time.

OMG this is rough! They should have honored your appt! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I have a life threatening illness and cant go stand in line. These kind of policies arent only unfair to customers like you who had appts but also to anyone with health issues who cant wait in a long line.

Im really unclear how much will even be available for “walk ins.” I asked my CA at a major flagship if I needed to try and come in and she said absolutely not as she didnt even know what the store would get. I suspect most product going to the stores will be set aside for Prestige and VVIC clients and the rest of us may be trying to scramble for what little is left.

Oh also! I'm not trying to imply that the DC store is justified in canceling your appointment at all but I'm curious what your current annual spend is like. I'm just genuinely curious if they've resorted to that at this point. Just so we can all know what to expect.

They should have honored your appointment. I remember scheduling something with my CA at the day of the 1st drop launch. She told me no, because they are having press events. But at least she turned me down instead of having me go in then blocking entrance. I feel for you. You should file a complaint.

On the APP, they could have blocked out certain dates that are inconvenient for the stores. I wonder why they didn't do that and have you travel all the way for nothing.

Jumping in to say this lines up with what I have been told by my CA: that the stores getting stock are taking wishlists from Prestige and VVIC clients. The lists are not guaranteed, but it does seem that they are preparing to give them the items first and then sell what is left to those waiting in line.

Cos if everyone made an appointment to shop CB, how would the people in the queue who came early feel? There also wouldn’t be enough CAs to handle all the appointments if everyone in the queue came with an appointment.

They have capacity to allow two ways for entry: ppl standing in line without appointment or ppl who have appointments (note there are not that many online appointments available to begin with, if you open your APP, you will see many days and times are out already). So ideally, they can serve both groups.

But from what I've heard even for ppl who show up physically, the items might be "order able", but not "guaranteed" for the VVICs, so regular folks have even less of a chance of getting anything.

This is a mess.
