I’m not sure if this is the right thread for my question.

I dropped by a boutique (quite a distance away) a few days ago. I wasn’t planning on buying anything but wanted to see what they have to offer, knowing I’m late to the Cruise ‘25 collection.

Surprisingly they had a wallet on chain with my preferred color way. So I made the purchase. The SA was surprised it was even available because it was not few days ago. SA did say the WOC is new and just came in. But I went home and took a look at the tag (because the price was higher for a classic WOC so I wanted to see if I was charged for something else)- it says 24S?

I reached out to Chanel Customer Service today and it’s said “Spring-Summer Pre Collection is release every January - March. Some items are revolving items are brought back with the new season yes.“ but no answer to if the WOC was from almost a year ago (24S). It’s a WOC with So Black hardware. It can’t be from April 2024 or can it?

Also, the tag was cut below the dotted line (bottom 1/4 of the tag is cut) . Is the WOC “old stock” or a return? Anyways it’s lambskin WOC, and I’m wondering if it would be durable?

Lambskin is much more durable than some people say I think. I have several lambskin bags and love them all. They wear well.

If I remember correctly, last season spring had So Black, I bought a So Black 22 from 24S or P I believe. That being said, So Black is back again for this Spring. Honestly it could be any of the options above, old stock or perhaps a misprint on the label. In any case, a So Black WOC from this season would be the same price and identical to the one from last year. If it is in proper condition, you should keep hold of it and enjoy it! You managed to grab one before anyone else did this season! haha.
