Congratulations
@Linnie711!! Isn’t this bag just fabulous! I carried mine yesterday to lunch and was blown away by it. Still can’t believe how easily it holds my things.
I don’t know what that edgy great chain is made of, I would guess whatever it is plated silver tone of some sort. I bought a pair of silver tone costume jewelry earrings awhile back, one of the small rings throughit fell off, and my jeweler also refused to work on it (I’ve known them 20 years and they are excellent) as they said it was not a metal they used and couldn’t solder like you have found. The chain is long, but it is a stunner.
I did find the following quote on LV website about their fashion jewelry, dk if the chains they make are similar. HTH, I didn’t wear the chain yesterday as in wasn’t sure of seating at the restaurant. Good luck, hope you can have what you want.
“Louis Vuitton
fashion jewellery is made of brass with a
golden or
silver finishing, allowing for both durability and a lustrous appearance. While resistant, your jewelry requires special handing and care to ensure optimal performance and appearance.
It is recommended to use any
perfumes, hairsprays or lotions before putting on your jewelry, as repeated contact with such chemicals can cause the materials to dull or oxidize. Please remove jewellery when bathing, cleaning, or performing strenuous physical activities. Wearing in very humid, or salty environments (such as a beach, sauna, or pool) is not recommended, as it can cause the brass to tarnish prematurely.
To minimise the appearance of surface scratches, limit the exposure to abrasive surfaces. It is always best to rotate your jewelry, as uninterrupted use may cause the materials to break down prematurely.
For storage, simply place in the pouch provided at purchase away from dust, moisture, heat and humidity. Lightly polish with the same pouch for cleaning. Immersing in water or the use of any chemicals may cause irreversible damage.” Credit to LV website
