I went to the sale twice - once for the private sale and once on Friday in the late afternoon.
The private sale was a blast - I arrived with a friend; we were about 12 to 15 people from the front. Looking a second time I realized that everyone in front of us, save one, was a TPFer. Then a woman that I had met when shopping arrived - she was directly behind us. It really made the time go by quickly being able to enjoy chatting while we waited.
I went straight to jewelry - get there and realize...there is no one there! I ended up with an XL clic clac, an enamel bangle that I loved and wanted for awhile. Also got 2 lacquer Ano BI-color cuffs.
Scarves were a little disappointing when we arrived, but then I realized that as more were being put out, there were different patterns included. I was thrilled to find a Zebra Pegasus, the only one that I saw. Also got a CSGM in P du Vent, again the only one that I saw. Suddenly, Beverly Hills moussies popped up so I got one of those; also got a 70 cm and a scarf ring.
I weeded things out a few times and was quite proud of myself for being so discriminating. A trip to the cash register proved me wrong!
Somewhere I heard that they were going to restock jewelry on Fri afternoon after 3 pm, so I showed up again. Told myself that I would pick up a request for a friend, but didn't need anything more myself.
The line wasn't bad at 3:45 - I was probably about 15 back from the door. After I was there for about 10 minutes, I realized that there was a bunch of people in line behind me. We had to wait for shoppers to leave before we could get in. Took about 45 minutes standing in cold gale-force winds. But the worst part - no one fun to talk to! The people in front of me wanted to sue H for not publicizing the sale. An amazing number of people came to the sale because they saw the windows announcing it as they walked by.
I went straight to the jewelry, where there was another line - maybe 20 min or so. When I finally for inside the rope line, I was met by my SA from Day 1 who yelled "Welcome back" to everyone's amusement. Then she want nuts when I told her my name, which she shouted repeatedly, even when I was gone from Jewelry but came into her sight.
The Jewelry had indeed been re-stocked. There were lots of clic clacs, but very limited colors. There were lots of bangles, but the ones I has seen on Day 1 were pretty much gone. Lots more lacquer necklaces and more leather overall, but most of the smaller - Micro Rivale and Be Hapis - were gone. More KD Extreme, but almost all were blue and orange.
Scarves had definitely been re-stocked. 90s were almost entirely different than on Day 1 and had been given more counter space. Way more CSGMs, they had one of each on display on a rack so they weren't being pawed over. I got a lovely Plume (scarf not bag!) - the Plumes were kept behind the counter with the exceptionals, so they were pristine.
Bumped into SM again - he said that Wed had been a huge day, Thurs was rather light - maybe due to the rain - and Friday was a good day, too.
I ended up with. bateau Fleuri 90, a fuchsia Plume, another XL clic clac for me and the one that my friend had requested - a lovely red.
I got lots of nice things, but having a big, fun TPF group on Day 1 was definitely the best part!!
